Osun PDP Factions Disagree On Adeleke's Reelection Bid by press9jatv(op): 11:30am On Mar 03
PDP DISOWNS UNAUTHORIZED DIRECTIVE, REAFFIRMS READINESS FOR AUGUST 15 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has become aware of a purported directive allegedly issued by the dissolved executive led by Sunday Bisi, instructing party members to work for the Accord Party in their respective units and wards.

We state categorically that such a directive is null, void, and of no consequence.

The dissolved executive lacks the constitutional authority to speak for or issue directives on behalf of the PDP. Matters relating to coalition, alliance, or political partnership fall strictly within the prerogative of the National Leadership of our great party. No individual or dissolved organ has the power to appropriate that responsibility.

The PDP remains a formidable and independent political platform. Our structures across the state—from unit to ward, local government, and state levels—remain intact, functional, and loyal to the party. We are fully prepared and actively mobilizing for the August 15 gubernatorial election, confident that our party will be duly represented on the ballot.

It is evident that certain political interests, lacking viable grassroots structures, are seeking to exploit the established and resilient framework of the PDP for their own survival. Let it be clearly stated: the PDP structure is not available for adoption, manipulation, or political convenience.

We therefore call on all party faithful and the general public to disregard any unauthorized statements or directives. The PDP remains united, focused, and committed to pursuing victory through lawful and constitutional means.

Signed,
Hon. Seyi Bamidele
Secretary
Caretaker Committee
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Sentiments aside, I think Adeleke is intellectually unfit to be the governor of Osun state. His late brother's antecedents was what got him this far, but he doesn't have the mental wherewithal to run a state.

Dancing up and down, missing funds, etc. That guy has done enough, he should go and rest! As an Osun indigene, I would NEVER vote for that man.

In an election you don't expect everybody to vote for one particular candidate, so that you can't vote him isn't a problem or big deal, same person you want to vote for some people won't vote for him also know this and know peace

The funny thing is that all those supporting Adeleke won’t pray to have such a man of low intellect as governor of their respective states

Lol... We're supporting him with our full chest. I'm from Osun and live in osun state and will vote for him every day and twice on Sunday.

Go and check voting history, Osun is not a state one 'major' party can pocket. It has never been, it will never be. If you want to know what grassroots politics is, come to Osun state.

All these nonsense propaganda you people push online won't help you. Election day is almost here, everybody eye go clear.

I'm sure you pay Nairaland to put your posts on Frontpage, it's pretty obvious and sad at the same time. Unfortunately for you, the real osun voters don't even know what nairaland is so you're practically wasting your time and resources to push propaganda.

Nah you go open thread, nah you go still first comment nonsense. That shows desperation. You're a political jobber, Adeleke no longer needed your services and you turned him into an enemy. Fortunately, you'll never see the end of him.

I hate people without integrity. Everything is financial, even when it's obvious you're selling your soul. Smh.

Readiness for an election in which they have no candidate?

What delusional propaganda is this huh

While 14 political parties met the requirements and had their candidates’ names published, the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, Social Democratic Party, National Rescue Movement and Youth Party were omitted from the list.

How do you explain that a man of low intellect is paying above minimum wage fully, reducing inherited debt, cleaning up APC salaries and pensions mess of arrears despite lawless JagaBandeet seizing Osun people’s money for APC’s illegal Yes/No LGA officials huh

Oyetola collecting half salary arrears from Adeleke – Adeoti claims

Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, a former secretary to the state government under the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola, has claimed that the immediate past governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, was collecting the half salary arrears being paid by the current administration.

osun.life reports that some categories of workers during the second term of Aregbesola did not get their full salaries for more than a year.

The arrears of half salary were not paid by former governor Oyetola who was the Chief of Staff during the period.

However, Governor Ademola Adeleke has been paying the arrears to civil servants and pensioners affected during the period.

His brother helps behind the scenes number 1. Also missing funds is something every Nigerian politician encounters. The people under them also steal.

That's trash, honestly speaking. His brother wasn't elected, he was, let's stop all these preferential treatment cos they're Davido's family. This isn't the type of mediocrity we need if we truly wanna develop.

Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke is unfit to be a governor.

Are you from Osun state? If not, you have no right or enough knowledge to speak on his performance as a governor. Let those of us who are Osun indigenes discuss it.

He lacks ideas and doesn't know what he's doing in office, you and I know this, but you guys are too sentimental to admit the obvious.

Please, what are the major duties of a governor to his people? What are the things expected of a governor/government that you feel adeleke is not doing. What are the things APC government achieved while in government for 12 years that adeleke haven't done in less than 4yrs? Kindly answer these questions. Thank you in advance

Pls be guided. Don't drag me into you guy's usual arguments of PDP vs APC, I am not into that. I speak in the interest of my state and what is factually verifiable that Adeleke is unfit to be governor especially in terms of mental capacity.

Everyone doesn't have to agree, but he doesn't deserve a 2nd term in office.
