Some of those criticising him for buying a car for his mum instead of his dad might do the very same thing if they were given the opportunity.

Dear men, I have come to realise that some of us spend all our time hustling to provide for our families, yet we hardly spend time with them. That period of bonding, especially when the children are young and tender, is extremely important. No amount of money can replace presence.

Make out time to be with your children. Be present. Pay their school fees yourself when you can, attend their events, keep records, and let them see your involvement. These little things matter more than we often realise.

When a man dedicates all his time solely to hustling and leaves the emotional and visible responsibilities to someone else, the narrative can easily be controlled by that person. In unhealthy situations, a spouse may present herself as the only one carrying the burden, even when that is not the full picture. Over time, this can shape how children perceive their father.

Provision is important, but presence is powerful. Children need both. Till date, I have not forgotten my experience with my dad to British council, Enugu. Create fond memories with them and when they grow up, they won't forget it.

A man and the wife may have issues, make sure it doesn't rub off on the children.
Keep doing your best for them, don't abandon them.

It is always mothers that will enjoy the kids, all the sacrifices made by the fathers is hardly remembered.
Men need to change so many things, one mistake men make is to send payments to wife to make for Eg school fees, at the end of the day the child grows with the thoughts that it is their mother that ran their school fees, pocket money etc. Omo, be the one giving your kids money from your pocket. One of my uncles, a Indian that lived in naija, raised all his kids, gave them the best, today the man is in India abandoned by those same kids to die. They only take care of their mother, send money to her or fly her to US and Canada where one is a medical doctor and the other a PhD level engineer. I found out when one of my siblings had to send $1k to the man for his upkeep.
Men plan for your future, so if kids forget you, you can take care of yourself.

Good! But what offense does FATHERS have on the hands of men tori olorun? Men, if you like, don’t enjoy your life as much as you should: na you sabi. As for me , I would take care of my kids even more than myself but I won’t forget to pamper myself along the way.

Not true but the parents had an acrimonious divorce. Asake dad put him thru school at the Holy Trinity Primary School Ebute-Ero on Lagos Island. Same for his secondary school.

And I learnt he was there for him while he was at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.

It seems Asake (his mum's name that people used to refer to him when describing him in the neighbourhood at Oju Olokun, Isale-eko back then) was influenced by his mum more ....

Yeah.

Ahmed father was never an absentee Father. He put him thru Primary School (I saw them severally). Holy Trinity Primary School, Ebute-Ero, Isale-eko Lagos. Same for Secondary school.

It was just that Ahmed dad's had issues with his mum whom everyone know as Asake before the son now adopted it as his stage name because people always referred to him as "Omo Asake"( Asake's child) the mum was never around as she re-married a Musician on the Island then.

Perhaps the acrimony of the divorce made the mother brainwash the son.

There are stuff I can't put here but it is way deeper.
