Iran does not have any serious air force or military intelligence.
They just believe only missiles and nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, Israel has developed very strong air-force, intelligence, missiles and even nuclear weapons. But they are destroying Iraq using only their air-force and top notch intelligence for now.

The Sanctions crippled their Air Force. No Spare, no maintenance (most of their war planes are the old Falcons- F-14 inherited when America supplied the Shah of Iran then. Mostly unserviceable now and can't withstand the F-22, F-35 in a dog fight and can be easily shot down.

But you see those Ballistics Missiles? They can wreak havoc anywhere and anytime. Israel is lucky that Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, America, Germany and the UK are actively involved in hunting them and shooting them down before Israel own Missile defense track them and shoot them down, if not Israel would have gone Nuclear with the amount of damage those Ballistics Missiles can do.

They are cheaper to make, doesn't need maintenance like an Airctaft. All that is needed is Guidiance to the Target. No Pilot needed, it carries it won guidance, its own fuel.
