Quietly jamb has changes some of its most standing rules without them even hitting the news.. My sister got applied to study medicine but ended up getting parasitology... Because sh is crazy about leaving home, we all did her registration and sh packed to her new location ... We have a plan as it has always been in Nigeria that sh will write a new jamb ND this time try out for medical lab science and sh is now find of this course.. but after purchasing the jamb E-pin and getting to register her biodata... The system brought out her profile with a yes or no questions about her making a very strange decision.. The site asked her to press YES if sh agrees that sh will forfeit her already gotten admission into her school where sh studies parasitology or press NO if sh is to discontinue this registration and safe guard her already gotten admission... I didn't believe her when I was told and we tried it again in my presence before I can believe... Omoh, jamb has got alot of our kids stuck in courses they dnt prefer all cus education system does not know how to assimilate the army of students seeking admission earnestly... Have u experience this ? Add you're say

DMCA:Read and understand first He's complaining against jamb new policy of no registration with ongoing course Many people settle for any given course and try writing jamb again, if they get fine if they don't they'll continue with the existing course. But the new policy requires you to terminate the existing one, making the possibility of ending up losing both chances if One fails to get admission again |

What the OP wrote is easily understandable but APC online trolls are trying to sabotage it. JAMB is now a dictatorial money making arm of government since APC came to power, very unfortunate. |

Nigerian tertiary institutions can change one's destiny if the person fails to be in firm control of it. Nah so one twins like that apply for Food Tech for one Poly, at the end of the day, they were both offered Building Tech instead. Lo and behold, while one struggled to finish her ND with a pass, the twin failed woefully to the extent that the school advised him to withdraw after ND1. J |

Your sister is not stuck, she was given a choice. Forfeit your current admission and be on a level playing ground with others or hold on to your current course and let others have a chance also. You can't eat your cake and still have it. |

The parasites is naija is too much, Nigeria needs people in that department. |
| Re: How Jamb Got My Sister Stuck In An Unpreferred Course by olayinka63: 10:52pm On Mar 04 |
bigpicture001:You are just acting on ignorance. Choosing yes will not forfeit the current admission except you have secured a new admission. If you didn't get a new admission, then the current will keep running. Na you no understand the situation. Jamb don't want a situation where you would maintain two admissions same time. |

It's about the carrying capacity of institutions and the infrastructure therein. Such courses are often compensatory. Ironically, it's with such courses you can easily get fully funded scholarships abroad. |
