@NLNGOFFERLETTER, I see you're online at the moment.
Welcome back once again. We would like to know if you've got anything of value for us (I know you always drop tangible stuffs here).
Perhaps when we should be expecting AC invites, about NLNG as a whole, what to expect when we get in and whatnot.
Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Higherupgrade:
JobsLever:
What Does Receiving a Badge Really Mean?

If you received a badge on the SHL platform, that’s generally a good sign. It usually means you performed strongly in that particular assessment.

Badges are awarded when you:

Score above a set benchmark

Show strong ability in a specific skill area

Perform better than many other candidates (high percentile ranking)

In simple terms, it suggests you demonstrated:

Solid analytical and monitoring skills

Good decision-making in process-based situations

A competitive performance compared to others who took the test

That said, it’s important to keep expectations balanced.

A badge does not automatically mean you’ve been selected for the job. It simply means you did well in that specific part of the assessment.

Does Everyone Get a Badge?

No, not everyone receives one.

Badges are usually given only to candidates who meet or exceed a certain performance threshold. So if you got one, it means you stood out in that area.

What Happens After That?

Once the SHL assessment is completed, the employer looks at the full picture, not just one badge.

They may consider:

Your overall test performance

Other assessment results

Your CV and qualifications

Behavioral or personality evaluations

Interview performance

So while a badge is definitely a positive sign and something to feel good about, moving to the next stage depends on the employer’s entire evaluation process.

In short: it’s encouraging, but it’s not the final decision.
Oga, you're just using AI to generate write-ups.

The badge only comes during the practice. Simulation: Once you repeat the process based on the explanation in each of the sessions (provided you do it well), it’ll just tell you congrats, and you move to the next segment. That one doesn’t mean anything; what matters is the main simulation

You’ll earn the badge in the practice session once u follow the instructions. I think it was like 5 badges or so.

But after the main simulation, you won’t any badge upon the time elapsing; it’ll just show your congratulations, you’re done with your test, and you get your confirmation mail. That's all.

Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Artsynatty: 5:16am On Mar 05
This is actually a really good response. I get it now.
Bobokan:
I think it's due to the volume of applicants and it would help them ensure all the applicants they pick are likely a good fit (culturally).

Think about this scenario: The company needs 100 staff. They can only manage the interviewing of about 1000 people. 100,000 people took the test, 5000 - 7000 people scored satisfactory grades (A and B). 1050 people had As in both tests.

Say they call only the 1050 (which isn't really a good idea as the aptitude tests do not evaluate people and communication skills) for the interview stage, and 200 people passed the interview tasks, but only 63 of them are a good culture fit, what do they do? (After they've wasted time and resources interviewing about a thousand people and there could have been people with B(s) that could have filled the void)

Funny how after one week I could now comment but for days I didn't have what to ask again since the process is slow .

I am not encouraging a discussion on the ongoing war here but just hoping the delay or stop on the shipment of LNGs across the Mediterranean sea will not have a heavy impact to delay our recruitment.

Since from past threads they have once delayed recruitment upto 4 years though the reason was unclear but multiple speculations like change in government, viruses, etc.

I pray it will not be our portion.
Though if by tomorrow we don't receive mail to keep in line with their two weeks response time. Then maybe end of the month or first week of April as mentioned earlier in the thread.

The exact date for the NLNG Assessment Centre has not been officially announced yet by NLNG. However, based on the typical NLNG recruitment timeline, one can estimate when NLNG assessment center is most likely to hold.

Likely Timeline for NLNG Assessment Centre

NLNG recruitment process usually follows this sequence:

1. Application Stage

2. Online Aptitude Test (often SHL)

3. Assessment Centre (physical evaluation)

4. Final Interview/Offer And Medicals

NLNG Assessment Centre normally comes a few weeks after the NLNG aptitude test results are released.

Expected Period (Based on Past Cycles)

From past NLNG recruitment patterns:

1. NLNG Aptitude test: Usually conducted first

2. NLNG Assessment centre invitations: About two to six weeks after the NLNG Aptitude test

3. NLNG Assessment centre event: Usually one to two weeks after invitations

So if the SHL or online test was conducted recently, the NLNG assessment centre will likely hold within the next one to two months.

Possible Locations

The NLNG assessment centre is typically held in major Nigerian cities such as:

1. Lagos

2. Abuja

3. Port Harcourt

These NLNG assessment center involve activities like:

1. Group discussions

2. Case study presentations

3. Panel interviews

4. Competency assessments

Realistic Estimate

The NLNG assessment center will most likely take place between:

April to June 2026 (estimated window).

Signs That the NLNG Assessment Center Is Near

You will know the NLNG Assessment Center is close when:

1. NLNG sends “Assessment Center Invitation” emails

2. You receive travel instructions or venue details

3. Shortlisted candidates are asked to confirm availability

NLNG usually sends invitations directly by email so check your inbox and spam folder regularly.

I have two questions
1. Do we get to decide which AC center to goto or do they decide it for us? Assuming I am in PH but then get pushed to Abuja while the PH AC is closest to me.
2. I have read the threads on the AC center process. Just want to confirm if it's thesame process for all disciplines even engineering.
But mostly am not clear on the fact finding mentioned, when I try to research "fact finding" in interviews or AC, I only see results in respect to the recruiter and no example of a case study and how the fact finding was done. Though I have not exhausted all results. So can anyone expand on fact finding with an example please?

Oga airsay, thanks for all you do sir. Been reading and digesting your chats over and over again right from the 2013 thread up till this thread. There's an adage that says time is truly a judge of all things. And it is rock-steady to still have you communicate with us on this thread even after 12 years has passed😅

airsaylongcome:
And I am telling you that those are lies. I know lots and lots of NLNG GTs that got hired without knowing anyone. I’m talking loads. And note, NLNG is not a govt job. It’s a private company

Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by EazyH: 11:30am On Mar 05
Does this apply to engineering candidates only? What about business candidates who had such JFAs too?

Higherupgrade:
it actually does

The first two options you pick usually reflect your strongest behavioural preferences (like safety, teamwork, leadership, continuous improvement), while the one you leave out is your least preferred in that scenario.

As an engineering candidate, I leaned more towards safety, teamwork, leadership, and upskilling because they align with my strengths. But I don’t think it’s strictly graded by course it’s more about consistency and how well your choices align with the company’s values overall.

For No. 1, I recall we were contacted for preferred location.
No. 2 ALL candidates have the same process for AC, Business GTs and Engineering GTs

For fact finding look up the SHL MAP.

I think someone else asked if AC is done in London. Answer is NO. People flew in to Nigeria for their AC back in the day. I know of at least two, possibly three people that flew in. One got hired.

Welldone boss, thanks for all the info. My cousin applied but he’s schooling, does he have to come back or there’s virtual AC for candidates abroad?

As in we move on regardless oh, Normally not everyone will get in. Yeah It's good to have faith, but still wetin go be go be. I recall while going through the previous threads of someone who said he fasted, prayed, travelled inter state, spent money and all of that and didn't get in after AC stage and he said his life was over. I felt really bad for him. I hope wherever that guy is now, he's winning in Life
