For the record, Disu joined the Police Force before Mba. Frank Mba was a Cadet Inspector in training while Tunji Disu was a Cadet ASP, in the Course 17/1992. Effectively, AIG Tunji Disu was Mba’s senior in the Force until Mba benefited from the accelerated promotions facilitated by the Federal Character principle. A clear example of this trajectory occurred in January 2019,when then-Acting IGP Mohammed Adamu appointed ACP Mba as the Force PRO to replace DCP Moshood Jimoh.

Today, Olorundare Moshood Jimoh serves as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, while Mba (who was once a rank below him) is now a DIG. This disparity speaks volumes and clarifies the seniority dynamics between Disu and Mba. The reality remains that every rank beyond CP bears the imprint of politics! Both are fine officers. One can only hope the new sheriff will revolutionise the system, just as he did as the commander of the Lagos State Rapid Respond Squad.

Disu was his Senior and used to be his Boss until Frank had a political double promotion to get ahead of his Senior Disu.

They were both under the Lagos State Police Command and Disu was his senior.

Really? I don't play this ethnic politics but when Frank Mba was promoted from AIG to DIG in 2023 (within three months) he was placed above his peers, because he was the most senior officer from the Southeast, and there was a need to appoint a DIG from the six geographic zones.

What did man thinketh in 2023 huh

Both are fine officers of the NPF anyway so a golden fish has no place to hide at the end of the day.

The earlier we let institutions run, the better. This is also a call to the President who tried to promote his ADC above others when he didn't deserve it.
