Obasanjo A Living Legend – Emir Of Ilorin by adenigga(op): 2:29pm On Mar 05
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has congratulated former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on his 89th birthday, describing him as a living legend.

The emir said this in his goodwill message, issued by his Press Secretary, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, in Ilorin on Thursday.

Sulu-Gambari, who is also the Chairman of the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council, also described Obasanjo as a patriot and an elder statesman.

“You are a living legend, a patriot, an elder statesman, and a global citizen with a tremendous record of global peace advocacy,” Sulu-Gambari said.

According to the emir, Obasanjo, who is also a former Military Head of State and two-term democratically elected president of Nigeria, is widely known and admired for his exceptional and long-lasting achievements.

“We appreciate and know you as a nation-builder, a peaceful coexistence advocate, who promotes inter-religious and inter-cultural harmony.

“I, especially, thank you, Chief Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo, for always identifying with the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara at all times.

“The entire members of the Kwara Traditional Rulers Council heartily celebrate and rejoice with you on this auspicious occasion of your birthday,” he said.

He prayed that God would continue to strengthen the celebrant to witness more years of absolute comfort on earth.

Is that not how we all hype our own devil with tribalistic relish huh

edet19892015:
Unless you understand your role in society, you can never make any meaningful contribution.

According to the Greeks, they are three types of people on Earth,
1. The idiots,
2. The tribesmen, and
3. The citizens.

Studies show only 10% of Africans are citizens.
The remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.

1. When the Greeks used the word "Idiot", they did not use it as a curse word.
Idiots are people who just don’t care.
If they sit for exams, they will cheat.
If they are in government they will steal.

An idiot does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin.

IDIOTS won't attend monthly neighborhood meetings. They won't pay security dues. They won't contribute to community development. Even when they see or know about something that will harm others in the community they won't report it. When they see/know/have something that will benefit their community they won't share.

In fact, Idiots don't care to register for or vote in an election, yet they complain the most. If they register to vote, IDIOTS will sell their votes for peanuts.

According to the Greeks, some societies have more idiots than tribesmen and citizens.

2. The next set of people are "Tribesmen", these are people that look at everything from the point of view of their tribe.

These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe.
It can be terrible to have a tribesman as a leader, he will alienate the rest.

When the Greeks talk about tribes, it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion, gang membership, group membership, party membership and even cult membership as a tribe.

A great percentage of Africans are tribesmen, because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes. They trust only their tribesmen

3. The last group are "Citizens".
These are people who like to do things the right way.
They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them.

They drive within speed limits.
They respect the laws, and won’t cheat in exams.
In government, they won’t steal.
They are compassionate and give to others to promote their well-being.

Citizens often promote projects that benefit everyone.
The Greeks called this group "The Citizens".

Some countries have more citizens than tribesmen and idiots, others have so many idiots.

A tribesman can become a citizen through orientation.
And an idiot can become a citizen by training and constant enforcement of the law.

But things fall apart if you elect an idiot or tribesman to lead you if he has not been reformed.

Where do you belong? Are you an idiot, a tribesman or a citizen? Reflect on your life.
Reflect about your immediate community, city, state and nation.

The man in picture A, The Nation clarified, was an Igbo who lived in the Abeokuta territory during the 1930s, about the time Obasanjo was conceived. As indicated by The Nation, the cop later turned into a ruler on a conspicuous South-Eastern royal position. Prior to at that point, notwithstanding, he had associated productively with the neighborhood network and had a concise illicit relationship with an Owu woman, before his last exit from the South-West. In spite of the fact that the paper didn't state more than that, it left little to the creative mind. Whatever insinuation was left of the preparing Obasanjo paternity debate was passed up the Abuja-based Leadership paper by means of a dooming segment labeled Olusegun Igbochukwu Obasanjo, composed by Sam Nda-Isaiah. Utilizing the photos provided by The Nation as the feed of his review, the journalist discharged the sensation. "The editors of The Nation would not like to state a lot, and they have left us to our creative mind, however it won't be from me that you will hear that Obasanjo's dad was Igwe Onyejekwe, a top positioning cop who turned into the Igwe of Onitsha in his lifetime. During his disputable rule, the position of authority was in conflict among him and Igwe Okosi II, similarly as it is today between Igwe Achebe and Igwe Odukwe," Nda-Isaiah composed.
Not finished with Obasanjo, the feature writer went for the slaughter: "Igwe Onyejekwe, Obasanjo's daddy, passed on after the common war and, similar to his child, was said to be extremely petulant and quarrelsome."The editorialist articulated that the conditions of his introduction to the world and dismissal would have helped make the previous president an unpleasant and underhanded individual. He begged Nigerians never to make anybody their pioneer aside from they know what he is accustomed to. "Also, Nigerians truly observed that notorious insidiousness over the most recent eight years.
It is an insidious man that would expand the cost of a liter of fuel by an astounding N10 on out of intensity, essentially on the grounds that he has a financial enthusiasm for processing plants he had recently sold away. It is additionally an extremely awful and insidious president that would twofold the estimation of VAT on out. What does it cost to be decent and kind and compassionate? Nothing! In any case, that is for typical individuals. Furthermore, Obasanjo is a long way from being ordinary." Closing on a hilarious note, the writer prompted that since Obasanjo cherishes power so a lot and is a sovereign of Onitsha, ''wouldn't we be able to just crown him the Igwe with the goal that he can disregard us?''

Yes Obj made mistakes and that was at the beginning of our budding modern democracy and democratic systems which Gej improved upon but almost 30 years later apc, tinubu and Mr yakubu have taken our democracy back to the gutters. undecided

We celebrate tippex results sheets and shameless alterations like something done by a 3 year old and inec confidently announces such scandalous results with no shame. undecided
