8 years? 😲 That money would have been way more valuable then than it is now. Inflation has really dealt with the Naira; 400k back then probably had more "engine" than 1 million today. Make una correct me if I lie, but all she has right now is just a figure on paper.

If she’s wise, she better invest it immediately because even if that money hits 2 million, the purchasing power might still be "underground." Small girl for Lagos don use 6 months buy iPhone of 1.7m, and you dey use 8 years save 1m? Abi you no use your talent well😏😂
So because Naira has depreciated one should not save again? Or are you lots just being intentionally st*pid?

She was really grateful to Piggyvest, they reached out to her already and are willing to pay her rent so that she'll still be a millionaire. Very thoughtful of them; Gratitude pays.
They should because she also marketed for them. This an authentic PR campaign for Piggyvest.

Is this not the problem we are having in this last days making people worship money and do all sorts of atrocity to make money. You instantly downplayed a diligent effort to save hard earned legitimate money and you are praising people making money overnight in an illicit, dirty and questionable manner. If this lady gets cowered by this statement of yours and start using her "talent" Na you go still come here come make jest of her when kasala burst.

Imagine buying shares of a strong company for that 8 years. Savings cannot make you rich

It's good for the psyche. I recall when I hit that same nominal milestone in 2009.

Unfortunately, N1m is not much these days.

Exactly, That is the Problem!
Inflation has Rubbish the Effort!

that Same 1m car is now 4m...
x 4

really sad!

Walk to a bank and invest in Money Market.StanbicIBTC, GTbank,Fidelity.UBA etc.it will grow and u will pay ur rent and still remain a millionaire
story...
let me Ask you, with 1m, how much can you Profit from Money market in 1 Year to pay like 600k Rent (Mini flat) ?
without touching the capital

Best Case Scenario...

Beautiful.

Now, what's rdt is what she plans to do with the 1m.

It's easier to do now. Try OPAY target saving. Even in 3 months, you can save over a million. And use it to boost ya other investment plans.

All things are achievable, just discipline yasef and you'll get many things done.
As How naa?

If i am Saving 20k per month in Opay, can I achieve it ?

After 8 years of saving, lady celebrates hitting 1 mill for the first time in her life. 🥹💰

She says rent will soon bring the balance down,

What’s the first thing you’d do if you finally saved 1 mil?

For the first time in my life I saw 1 million naira😭😭

Saving and investing, which is better? You clearly missed where I said she should invest. If you invest, you get returns not save. You can even be getting your returns monthly. I guessed you clearly missed T hat cause you wanted to throw shades 😏

I’m guessing you missed a class in literature called “SARCASM”. That was just a joke but I’m guessing as Nigerians, our intelligence can never get to that level.

So money just falls from heaven? You don't need to save to invest? Y'all just come up with these stupid cliches of invest rather than save as if capital falls from the sky. You won't amass capital before investing. Radarada.
