Northerners and south westerners took over Niger Delta oil blocks while the people live in adject poverty. This is really sad.

Disown dem or not, they both remain shareholders of the company and they're entitled to receive their 10% shares dividend payments.

Same with millions of people moving like zombies, knowing fully well that they are owed. Many are written on stupeed agreement papers.

Kins are the most wicked.

The way your own blood will hate, rob you and keep chasing you away will make you wonder.

I pray that this will wake the people up from the slumber. Don't wait till you die to go for what is rightly yours. Don't mind them when they say "just forget and Hussle to get your own"...😀😃

Some have stupidly suffered for their relatives only to be cut off and dealt with.

This is one out of many cases. It goes public after judgement and we don't get to hear them.

Hahahaha, I definitely understand. You'll be like who did this thing to me, I must get to the root of it.
There's a lady who owns a shop close to where I am working. She has three sales girls. One of them stole 2k from the shop and they all denied it.
She spent 15k to consult a native doctor who later reveal the thief and she confessed.
You can see she spend more than the amount stolen just to know the actual thief

This is the downside of ceding any part of your company structure/skeleton to someone, especially when ceded to an undeserving or unresourceful person - the senior Idimi should count himself lucky that it's only 10% of the company share that he ceded to them.
You're closer to my thoughts...I'm 100% sure the shareholding they're claiming isn't that they bought it, but was given to them perhaps due to regulatory necessities
If you know a Kanuri man very well, if he later allow them to get this dividends, I'm 💯 sure they won't get a dime from his will

In the first place I thought this type of Nepo kids only get this type of judgment abroad, with their mothers kicking out their fathers out on the streets.

Naow, do people forget that Jonathan ruled this country surrounding himself with Wailers and left Niger Delta Environmental degradation worse than he met it.

Sey Dokunbo Asari and his comrades that got Presidential Plane to negotiate with Obasanjo in Abuja nay poor man?
Re: Ameena & Zara Indimi Twins Win $43m Against Muhammadu Indimi, Their Father by Pacesetter123(m): 8:23pm On Mar 05
Why must they remove their own 10% equity shares from the company?
Is it because they are female children?
Have they also removed the shares of that their first son that married President Buhari's daughter from the company?
I guess no, bcuz he is a male child.
Give them their rights joor!
All children are children; whether male or female.

That being said,so this Oriental Energy that is situated in my very backyard has this type of money and I don't see shi shi from them as an indigene of the area?
No Corporate social responsibility to the community,no scholarship to us the youths of the community,no developmental program,no nothing!
But see money that they are making in my own backyard.
From Borno State where this Indimi family comes from to my area that they owned oil field where their company is exploring and exploiting is about 4 days journey covering about 2,000 kilometers.
The long distance didn't deter them from exploiting our oil resources. Can the reverse be the case?
Even if I have the financial capacity today, can the Northeners allow me to own a Gold Field in Borno or Zamfara as they are owning Oil Field in our backyard?
Your guess is as good as mine.

No, we wouldn't believe you because you are speaking from the position of ignorance. Islam as a religion doesn't say women do not deserve inheritance. Two, this is not even a case of inheritance. So, what kind of weed are you smoking?
...the same weed Indimi was smoking when he took the decision to deny his daughters, Ameena and Zara believe is rightfully theirs'. So i guess he probably did same to Ibrahim, Mustapha and Ahmed right? wink Why dont you address the elephant in the room?

One thing about many wealthy people is they do not play with money. Someone will have a worth of $600m and follow you to drag $10. It seems frugality is a path to wealth. What are stingy Nairaland boys doing wrong then?
This is no longer a case of frugality. Trying to cheat your own daughters off their own financial entitlement has got to be a whole new level of wickedness.

Anaconda76:
If i tell you that the decision to sideline the twins because they are girls and the "religion" packages women as to be seen and not heard, would you believe me?
Oga leave story, it does not make sense for that to be the reason. Those ladies are likely the man's daughters, it was him that made them share holders, ie as it is usually done when registering companies, most people put their kids, parents or siblings names as directors, they give them small shares to make up the holdings. At the owner of the companies discretion he can change the shares as he wishes even without consulting those child or sibling. He arranges a supposed board resolution and submits it to his person in CAC to process. The difference in this case is that the girls were aware they are shareholders and refused their father removing them, shebi they have to sign to relinquish their shares or agree to sell it?
So in this case they knew their rights and insisted on it, court will ask for the accounts to be audited and dividends paid on their 10% holdings.

Wealthy people will do the worst to ensure wealth remains with them. I guess the man didn’t consider family in such situation.

Niger deltans are busy chopping alone without any consideration for posterity. Diezanni is one of their daughters, GEJ was there , Asari, Tompolo, Ibori, they are all ND people.

Can anyone from other region own what these northerns have in the south? Imagine a northern called oil giants ? Do they have oil in their region? Do we really have oil giants from Nigeria Delta? And we expect Nigeria to break up?

Undeserving? What exactly do you know about the oil and gas upstream sector?

People and companies bid for oil wells and if given it is not the fg that will develop the well for them , it is the bid winner that will develop and mine the well and if he's lucky strike a good volume of oil .

There are many oil wells lying fallow across the Niger delta yet were given to niger deltans who didn't develop the wells.

Let's stop this mindset of always trying to blame others for our own ineptitude.
