The late Iranian leader has a daughter in Canada who doesn't wear hijab/ burqah etc but clubs and live a Western life while the women in their country are caged.

How is a country that killed thousands in protests free. Freedom means freedom. If people want to walk about naked that is their business as long as they are in sufficient numbers to affect society and change laws.

The problem the Iranian leadership had is the failure to reform it's ideology. Reforms have taken place in every other Gulf Arab state including by the Crown Prince in Saudi Arabia to head-off and cool off any potentially public angst.

The hardline stance of the ruling mullahs is what is behind al these problems and the failure to realize that the wider Iranian populace are much more educated and the exposed than their counterparts in Afghanistan and Pakistan for that matter.

Make no mistake about it. The human nature is a magnet for liberties, it may not manifest as human excesses but a person or people dictating how other should live is not sustainable. It may prevail for years and a few decades, but history has told us such empires eventually corrode from within and crumble at a touch.

So they must reform? Reform is for who? You or their people? Has it occurred to you that there is a very good chance that their people like life as it is?
Why do you want them to change? To suit you or to suit them?

You and America should face your country's palava. The Iranian revolution was a popular revolution. If the people feel a need to make changes, they should do so. It is not the duty of foreigners to pontificate to them..
