Can someone explain to me if Nigeria is truly cursed? Like, I am honestly asking. As we speak, over one week, my estate has no electricity from Nigeria. I have friends lamenting from different parts of the country. Now, internet service is bloody even in major cities, like state capitals. So, u buy expensive fuel, u on generator, u will waste about 5 hours on work productivity due to poor network and your fuel will burn and waste. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa This country is the hardest thing on earth! Worse part of it, our politicians are families are pampered and well taken care of. Pls, can someone tag Taiwo, the tax man for me? I honestly wish to have heart to heart conversation with this man. Like I want to honestly ask this man how he wants Nigerians to really cope? Like, I mean those earning even 25m and above per year are honestly struggling. U struggle with electricity, u struggle with internent. U struggle with high rent, u will struggle with expensive car maintainance, u will cope with bloody health care system. U will cope with chaotic city, terrible roads, buy bottle water, spend a lot of generator maintaince as u use gen to pump water, and this man, get mind recommend up to 25 percent on personal income as tax. Pls, does anyone know this man? I really wish to discuss with him, like off camera. I want him to explain to me what he was thinking doing this. Sir, u are wicked, u have killed Nigerians the more. I am damn frustrated. In two days, I have spent 30k on fuel, data wasted, fuel wasted, work productivity reduced. Do I get quality of life from Nigeria to warrant up to 25 percent of my income to this country? Are we mad? Who did this to us? why do we accept everything? I wish to sit down with a politician and talk heart to heart, I want to know what runs inside their mind, how can creatures be this weicked and heartless? Like come on, u shouldnt be this heartless. U could have introduced 5 percent income tax for now, Nigerians are doing a lot on their own. When u start providing these services that help citizens, u can increase the percentage between 10 to 15. The money spent on politicians and their families including ex politicians are too much, plssssssssssssssssssssssss. I am tired ![]() I wnt to buy starlink mini, but this country is wicked, Nigeria was designed to ensure u dont rise. Like after all these, u still take 25 percent of my sweat? Why? |

Ninaffivadit:Is anything wrong with u? I am lying? How? Most Nigerians are lamenting about electricity. That ur area has 24/hours is what all nigerians should enjoy. I live in a state capital, a major hub sef, we have not seen electricity for one week, not even a flash. Most weeks, we may get 3 hours per week. |

Ninaffivadit:Bro, Nigerian states are struggling as we speak, from warri to PH, to Enugu, to delta, as we speak, Abraka rarely have light ![]() This one is not about calling state electricity, Nigeria generates less than 5kw of electricity for over 200m people, e no fit reach babaa. My friend in Anambra is lamenting, she did video call with me three days ago and showed me the list of power banks, rechargable devices she was going to office with so she can use her office power which is mostly big lister ![]() People in Abuja are lamenting. So, this is not about state, national grid is useless |

If you think about Nigeria and her harsh economic realities you will either fall into depression, or want to live a life of crime. Everything is wrong with Nigeria. Only politicians enjoy this country. |

We are losing it and we are really losing the best brains. Something happened in one Fintech Service provider, if it was when those good guys are around it takes nothing less than 30 mins to resolve but this one took them almost 1 week. The Country is really in a state of mess and my conscience would not allow me to come out and campaign for such Government irrespective of how much they will pay me. What will I be telling people? |

Creating 5 consecutive threads about the epileptic power supply in Nigeria, dude you just flew into the country? ![]() Stroll into the politics section and you will be shocked to the marrows. As long as their tribesman is up there, the rest should burn. We enjoy 8hrs electricity here in onitsha though, put pay through our nose. |

Lastpharoah33:The country keeps getting worse, it is worse now, and worse part, this regime is eyeing up 25 percent of my personal income and over 35 percent of income in total. haaaaaaaaaaa |

Princedapace:I'm aware of what you're saying brother. If those earning way above 500k in this dispensation are lamenting, what's going to be the fate of those of us earning slightly above the new minimum wage? I'm more interested on procreating with reckless badon even in the face of this harsh economic situation, we should be intentional in bringing innocent souls into this mess. My take. |

Lastpharoah33:Omo, u are right, I know how much I make per month o and yearly, yet it is like I am suffocating. No quality of life. I earned 30m last year, but bro, to live a quality life here is super expensive. Now, imagine to get 24/7 electricity in nigeria to run ur business is super luxury. I had three busineses as at last year, i was burning fuel on them all, at some points, the cost became too much, aside burning fuel for my house, omo, i shut down the busineses and those working had to leave too. Nigeria is a mess. It is worse than a mess. Worse part, politicians enjoy 24/7 electricity without sweating. My pain is this man came for taxing us from the money that is not enough to live quality life, u want to take out of it. WTF is wrong u |

My brother we are taking it as it is. They said "Na statistics we go chop", but obviously we are now eating the statistics. They said "una go wail tire", now everybody (including them) are wailing. But I love it, I want everybody to feel the heat, so on election day you won't allow yourself or your family members to be that fulish to still vote bad unproductive government. Jagaban 2027. |

WoW, someone who truly sees things the way it is has finally spoken up.... I commend you brother... these are really trying times. My father called me some weeks ago, telling me there has been no light in his area in lagos since 2025 SEPTEMBER and they told them it will be that way till 2027.... Imagine the frustration at old age. So, i decided to do something about it.... I GOT HIM A SOLAR FAN.... yes for less than 100k you can save up for it for some months and then do it. It will give you peaceful sleep at night. Then a PORTABLE SOLAR GENERATOR (....less than 500k) is best for LAPTOP, PHONES, EVEN TV(I bought a 15w ITEL TV).... If you plan well in a year you can get all these things and have a better SLEEP and even PEACE when there is no light. As for the TAX, hmmmm I tell you the truth, IT WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY, not if elections is still 2027. The alternative to these is RELOCATION to any good east african country and you will NEVER need Nigeria again EXCEPT for spicy meals. I honestly can not trust the government but I know we are all responsible for our own lives. Stay strong bro. Princedapace: |

Princedapace:So you earn up to 100 millions annually? Cos those are the ones required to pay 25% If so , pay up your fair share of tax Mr man. If na one of those abroad counties Una like hyping, na between 45 to 50% you go pay |
| Re: How Are Most Nigerians Surviving? by Princedapace(op): 7:42am On Mar 17 |
Difrent:Thunder fire U. Abroad country, I don't need to waste money on fueling generator over there. Generator alone consume over 7m from me yearly. So, govt takes 25 percent of my personal income and still leave me to spend 7m plus on fuel for generating electricity. E no go better for people like U. Politicians sloot our country dry and people like U talk this rubbish. I spend over 30k monthly on bottle water. If govt takes 25 percent of my income tax, then govt should provide me with water so I don't need to spend money on it as well. Govt should give me quality healthcare and proper public schools so I don't need to spend on these stuff. We have politicians whose cars are changed every 4 years, their hospital bills taken care of including that of their families. They loot contract fund. Abroad country we hype ? U dey sleep or what exactly is Ur problem? People like U are the enemy of this country. I provide every damn thing by my self and U want to take 25 percent of my income ? Who told U 100m earners are those who will pay 25 percent income tax ? Someone earning as low as 25m per year will pay such. Shame |

About the electricity you're lying even me on band c is enjoying 24hrs electricityThis is the problem with Nigerians NO EMPATHY. Because he has light he thinks everyone does and anyone who complains is a lair or an obedient... I am based in Kaduna and light has been it worst in my entire life. I had to offload my freezer yesterday because everything there has gone bad... It's currently opened after I washed it Why we can't fight bad govt is because people who think they are doing fine assume everyone too should be doing fine. Nigeria suffer the most when prices of petrol increases, its our major means of transportation and energy. You have no idea how much some people spend on petrol per day to work. Also hike in diesel can affect food stuff because of transport |
