Secondly, we now largely refine our own crude meaning importation is at its lowest. So how should crude oil price increase also result in increased fuel price here rather than the opposite effect. When oil price goes up globally, extration booms locally, but refineries still have to pay global market prices for that crude oil. The cost is passed down to final consumers at the gas station.

Alm this people should go and sit down,they are just alarmist fir nothing......it's in record that dangote gets his crude from America to balance up what he gets from nnpcl....shipment from America to Nigeria has nothing to do with the strait of horizon,also China cargo traffic to West Africa has nothing to do with that place......all this people are just taking people for a ride.

This matter can be settled in a matter of weeks and all open needs do is increase output to mitigate the shortfall......

Greed is the problem here, instead of using the excess money coming from this crisis, since we are now making more money above the budget price. Some will corner this monies to loot and to campaign in the next election

The one he buys from abroad, 50 percent of the crude he refines, is he paying dollars or naira for it?

If the naira had appreciated, strengthen and have value against the dollars.. like if the exchange rate is from 400 Naira to a dollar the price of fuel will be at least 250 naira toa litre even with the Iran USA war and the increase in crude oil price to 100 dollars per barrel

lt's all about the laws of demand and supply sir. When supply is low and demand is high, which is currently happening all thanks to Pedo Trump, prices will naturally go up. Even if the oil markerters already have enough stock before prices went up, of course they will happily increase prices to tally with the current global market prices because in capitalism, it's all about the Benjamins baby

The oil was used to collect loan for years ahead. So, as we speak, the oil doesn't belong to you. Not now. Not in the next 20 years. This is why they are paying Tompolo to make sure we don't touch the oil that has been used to collect loan. It belongs to outsiders.
