drstranged:Crude oil is valued at international price , so that makes Nigeria vulnerable to price instability. Nigeria and Dangote may export more oil due to surge in demand but that also means average Nigerians will pay more for petrol, diesel etc because the price is benchmarked. Also Nigeria still import more than half of local consumption despite local refineries, so essentially, Nigeria is exposed to global price disruption and also higher premium on imports. Interesting times ahead. |

omoredia:Oga no dey cross road using this your brain, the report was talking about Canada with 16 functional refineries complaining about hike, but your brain quickly went to Dangote and whatever rubbish you typed. What's the correlation? A country with 16 refineries (no monopoly and many of you insipid writers allege is good) versus 1 behemoth, but it's Dangote's fault you're not buying at N200? |

Islie:Every war in the world no matter the country that are fighting war effects Nigeria, and Nigerians bear the pains of war in another country. Even if there's riot in Russia, china, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand or Papua new Guinea it's effects Nigeria, the only thing that doesn't affect Nigerians are good things that are happening at Europe and other good countries. |

EmperorIsaac:Refinery would be scrap under those conditions. Remember NNPC refineries. Run at a loss, therefore they broke down. Corruption worsened the matter. I mean it is costing over 800 naira now to produce a liter of fuel. If you sell am for 400 naira e go create wahala |

FaAbData:No of course not, cheering doesn’t cause the war. The point is the irony, Nigerians supporting Israel and USA's aggression will still complain when they face more hardship worse than they are already facing due to global oil price spike, but weren't unable to connect the dots from the onset. It's the lack of awareness. |

Good. Let it get to 10k per litre. It won't stop 🛑 us from driving work until Iran surrenders. Whatever sacrifices we have to make to end Islamic terrorism are worth it. Meanwhile, death to all Islamic terrorists anywhere in the world including those in northern Nigeria. |

chopnaira:Are you aware that America is the world’s highest producer of crude oil and it produces 3 times more than Iran? Are you aware that Iran is the 5th highest producer of crude oil, behind Saudi Arabia, Russia and Canada? Are you aware that Iran’s crude oil production is not much higher than what UAE and Iraq produce ![]() America and Israel’s interest in Iran is not so much about oil production as it is about nuclear arms. |

Enugurangers:Is there power supply in Nigeria? Producers are buying both high cost diesel and petrol in Nigeria for production process while Canada have power supply for production. Which of both countries will be most impacted? Abi you think say na only petrol dey affected? Diesel, cooking gas also. If we had constant power, the impact would be minimal. Use your head ![]() |
