At this point can you all just stop engaging him? He seems to derive joy from the attention. Silence they say …… |

It was very obvious from the time he switched off his AI assistant, I guess people wanted to give him benefit of doubt. Michaaaa19: |

JobsLever:For this particular response Regardless of AI or not though I don't know the other content of the book but I will say this is a useful info based on the things we discussed here. As for whether it should be paid or free that's a different issue. But giving Jobslever the benefit of the doubt based on this particular pages shown I repeat based on this particular pages shown I don't know about the rest of the book but I won't go as far as calling it entirely useless even though it was earlier stated. As to if I will buy the book. I ain't got 1500 to spare😅. I am not supporting Jobslever but just stating my opinion the book having a little use even if it may be AI generated or not, and it draws context from similar experiences reported here. But from the version stargurl showed. That one does seem AI derived and generic. Specifically the pages she showed. 🤣🤣🤣 Before someone will come and join me with Jobslever in this argument I am nobody's follower |

Mark05:The only person that has spoken well in this forum God bless you my brother. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Draydd: 8:17pm On Mar 08 |
Mark05:So you’ll go to AC and be solving multiple choice questions? |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Mark05: 9:18pm On Mar 08 |
Draydd:Lol ofcourse I noticed that when I made that reply. And NO! We won't go to AC solving questions. I just didn't think much of it because if I remember correctly from even Glassdoor report of the AC in some years back they do carryout the aptitude test at the AC as well. And while on the topic Google/AI sometimes even specifies that according to glassdoor reports. I which Glassdoor is workers that give info about their company like recruitment process and salary. However I don't think they supply proper info in terms of salary in the Glassdoor reviews. So most times if AI gets it wrong it's from the source that's wrong. Which is why as I specified in my earlier reply when the argument started that. I personally came here for more practical testimony of people experiences that can talk freely and be able to ask questions. Which is why I was not in full support of Jobslever spamming because those specific ones where things I already googled before coming here. I don't know the full content of the book however the part that actually concerned the group discussions and so on is in line with how others described the process. That's why I am just saying it could be useful in that regards. For instance you don't see anyone here telling you how exactly they answered some interview questions. ( I stand to be correctly since I haven't gone through all past threads). That is why I believe @Jobslever was saying the book also provides solutions. And clearly in the pages he sent we can see some of the concepts in the MAP @airsaylongcome gave. I don't know if it goes ahead to give answers all through and I am not advertising the book for him. I am just someone that regardless of a situation and behaviour of people I don't like letting emotions cloud my judgement and recognizing facts. I also mentioned @Stargurl20 shared some of the content of the book which I fully agree is just AI/Google and hence why she refers to it as useless because probably the whole book contained more of that. I don't think I will buy the book personally coz nigga is broke🤭 But aside that my way of study may not require I buy it as most info I get here I look to YouTube for solutions and yes I look to Chat GPT to help me refine my answers and run mock interviews. *So no we won't go and be solving things in assesment center because if that is in the book then it's not upto date. Especially with a title aimed at AC...* I think for Jobslever he just wants the acknowledgement that even he use AI and just because it's AI doesn't mean it can't be accurate coz Google gives it's references which is still info fed by humans. And while we are here to answer @jobslever question about @airsay using AI. The answer is simple really if he just told him that they are thesame without showing proof he will argue it. And naturally we all go online to give facts as proof so he did. @jobslever main issue is the fact he is condemned as AI when someone who used something similar isn't called out. Though h Airsay used the AI to relate two companies but his main information the MAP is not AI reply. People just find it annoying that AI generic reply is constantly being pasted with hawking in a place where they want more human answers. So to be very clear again I am not supporting Jobslever nor do I dislike him. I don't personally like how the generic replies are spammed which I noticed he listened to that and just shares the link now to the thread instead. We are all here to share information and we all want accurate information. And much appreciation to everyone sharing, it's been helpful.. Sorry I made the long reply @Draydd |

Mark05:You have spoken well, another constructive and reasonable response, this is how to respond, infact this was what I was expecting since, instead of mocking someone that's trying to help. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 9:27pm On Mar 08 |
Infact members here were only concentrating on the scenarios I realized there was no solutions on how to answer these scenarios and even how to conduct a presentation successfully, I went through the lapses and refered members here to the e-book because I knew it contained solutions not just questions or case studies. |

Mark05:Even PhD no long reach like this bro I’ve done a couple ACs before, it’s making up scenarios, brainstorming ideas to solve a problem, or presenting a business scenario and justifying decisions. It’s not aptitude test. We’ve already write 2 tests, it’ll be waste of my time to write another test. No be common entrance |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Mark05: 9:48pm On Mar 08 |
JobsLever:Sometimes our methods of communication is what causes misunderstanding. Though most of us here have displayed🤭 you included and SOME others as well in how they addressed you. If the book fully contains solutions then to me it's not useless. Though I still can't ignore what Stargurl said. But even me I don't just want case studies I want to see how they where approached and answered. Which for me I would just do my solutions first then paste to chat GPT to see it's solution and compare. Most times we can do it is just a matter of we want to be sure if we are doing it the way it's required. So if anyone can provide it it's much appreciated. Just work on how you market it and relay your info and ensure it's accurate so there won't be negative reviews. But I kinda like seeing you reply beyond the copy paste method because at some point I though you were an auto reply bot or something as I've not been here for long |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Mark05: 9:56pm On Mar 08 |
Draydd:I completely agree Though serious most of those scenerios seemed business orientated I don't know if it's thesame scenerio presented to engineering graduates. Coz I am expecting to see more of production and equipment maintenance or recommendations based questions Which leads be to ask this. Like in the case of group interview phase or just generally that day. Is it thesame scenerio questions and case study all GT are asked to evaluate regardless of course or study? |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Draydd: 9:57pm On Mar 08 |
Mark05:ACs are all business related. It’s the interview that will be technical. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Mark05: 10:00pm On Mar 08 |
Draydd:Alright thank You I guess I will just prepare from a business perspective as well as engineering perspective for the technical. And generally just prepare for surprises Well mail has not dropped yet But best to start from now. Even if I don't pass it will come in handy for other similar applications |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by airsaylongcome: 10:04pm On Mar 08 |
Mark05 Understand that at least three people who have been successful at the last three NLNG GT recruitment have looked at the quality of the posts and have all called it out as not NLNG specific. Three people. Three different NLNG recruitments. All three passed the process. None of them have recommended the material based on the quality of posts. So no, it’s not an attack on AI. It’s basically saying someone is taking generic AI content and passing them off as “NLNG ASSESSMENT CENTRE” material. If the material was passed as generic AC preparation material, all three former GTs would have side stepped. UcBren called out the MAP and “they” started talking about “Motivational Alignment Profile”. “They” categorically dismissed the SHL MAP that it had already been done. I will put my hand up and say I shouldn’t have bitten the bait and respond to the question about where to find the MAP. That way, I would not have had to justify that CEB and SHL are one and the same company. So yeah I’d say that was purely my fault. My advice now? Buy the material. You will ace the AC with it. Have a great week ahead everyone. And one more thing, given some stuff I’ve seen on the SHL website (and this is purely personal opinion), I speculate that AC will be in May or July. PERSONAL OPINION. In case you guys face a Competency-Based Interview, use the STAR technique. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Mark05: 10:18pm On Mar 08 |
Well I get your point. I was just putting in a peaceful resolution even though no one asked me to. And I did mention I personally don't intend to buy it. But anyone who wants to can For three people to call him out I guess explains all the hostility shown towards him. Which he has also been told to work on the accuracy of his info and being generic. You did not make a mistake by stating where to find the MAP nor justifying CEB and SHL just as I addressed that.. I sincerely hope the AC won't take that long to come. And even if it will mails should be sent much earlier 😅 airsaylongcome: |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by airsaylongcome: 10:20pm On Mar 08 |
A few other misconceptions to correct: The trainee program is for 3 years and not “15-18 months”. You get confirmed after 3 months and not at the end of the training period as alleged From day one, you are treated as a permanent staff (NLNG Direct Hire and not a Secondee - you will understand the difference when you get in). The “gbemu” on your offer letter is what you earn from day one and not a so-called “trainee allowance until you are confirmed as a permanent staff’ “. There used to be a dichotomy were Technicians were treated differently until they were confirmed. But that has been done away with as communicated by someone currently in the business. Thought to emphasise these |

Everyone is now talking well, better, this was what I was expecting since, instead of just criticizing every single thing, I've gotten an information from a gate man yes a gateman that changed my life. No knowledge is too big or too small in this life. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Draydd: 10:27pm On Mar 08 |
airsaylongcome:Yes you are a permanent staff as a GT, most of the information is right. Although you don’t necessarily remain a trainee for 3 years, I know a couple of GTs from 2023 who are already discipline engineers in instrumentation, electrical and utilities. Idk about mechanical. But IC and utilities guys get promoted into engineer positions around 2 years or less. |

Can you brief me on this STAR technique, please? airsaylongcome: |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 6:02am On Mar 09 |
TobyJoseph:The STAR technique is a simplified method used to answer interview questions clearly and effectively, especially behavioral interview questions. These are interview questions where employers ask you to describe a real situation from your previous experience, such as: “Tell me about a time you solved a problem.” “Describe a time you worked in a team.” “Give an example of when you handled pressure.” The STAR method helps you structure your answer so it is organized and convincing. Meaning of STAR STAR stands for: 1. Situation (S) Explain the background of the story. Where did it happen? What was going on? What challenge existed? Keep it brief but clear. Example: “In my final year at university, I was part of a group project where we had only 2 weeks to complete a research report.” 2. Task (T) Describe your responsibility or goal in that situation. What were you expected to do? What was your role? Example: “My role was to coordinate the team members and ensure the report was completed before the deadline.” 3. Action (A) Explain the specific steps you personally took to address the situation. This is the most important part of your answer. Example: “I divided the work into sections, created a timeline, and organized daily check-ins to track progress.” 4. Result (R) Describe the outcome of your actions. What happened? What did you achieve? Did you learn something? Whenever possible, include numbers or measurable results. Example: “We completed the report 2 days early and received one of the highest grades in the class.” Example of a Full STAR Answer Question: Tell me about a time you solved a problem. Situation: During my internship at a small firm, we experienced delays in responding to customer emails. Task: I was responsible for assisting the customer support team. Action: I suggested creating a shared response template and organizing emails by priority. Result: Response time improved significantly, and customer complaints reduced within 2 weeks. Why Companies Use the STAR Technique Many employers, hiring managers or recruiting agencies (especially in oil and gas, banks, and multinational companies) use this method because STAR helps them see: 1. Your problem-solving ability 2. Your teamwork skills 3. Your leadership qualities 4. Your real-life experience Companies like NLNG, TotalEnergies, and ExxonMobil often ask behavioral questions that can be answered using the STAR technique. Simple Tip: In interviews, always spend most of your time on the Action and Result parts. That is what interviewers/assessors care about most. |

Mark05:Your "Peaceful Resolution" should put into context that the AI guy has repeatedly tried to invalidate the experiences of people who have gone through the length and breadth of the recruitment process and have more helpful information to provide to guide the present applicants on the right path, while aggressively trying to profit off of the desperation of applicants to get helpful information, which should not be celebrated in any way. There's an old saying that "a dead clock is right twice in a day"; the supposed "NLNG Assessment Centre" ebook has been called out by actual NLNG GTs as non-helpful, any perceived value in It is the dead clock being right twice in a day. For anybody serious, the information "Airsay" has shared is enough direction to prepare towards the AC, wanting anything more specific, is wanting to be spoon-fed. And, using that as a pass to excuse a PAID generic handbook (masquerading as company-specific) with publicly accessible information and loads of misinformation, is poor judgment. Lastly, in a group of people hunting for gold, beware of he who claims to sell "Magic Shovels". |

Your master that doesn't want you people to be successful in the AC why is he scared of providing detailed explanation on how to answer AC questions, someone is providing a resource to help others at least have an idea and understand how to answer AC questions, you are here talking rubbish, see members in this thread a lot of people are not happy probably during their time they didn't have this opportunity so they don't want to share solutions to those ac questions so that una no go pass, una master instead of offering solutions to ac questions him dey write only STAR Technique, the guy is even scared of sharing solutions to ac questions so that una no go pass. This na person when say him attend AC 2015. |
