Khamenei’s Son Named Supreme Leader in Iran

“Iranian state TV announced Sunday that Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the country’s late supreme leader, has been named his successor,” the AP reports.

“The younger Khamenei had long been considered a contender, even before an Israeli strike killed his father at the start of the war, and despite never being elected or appointed to a government position.”

He won't last till the evening today. Both Trump and Israel have openly threatened to eliminate him if he is chosen to replace his father because he is reputed to be more fundamental and fanatical than Ali Khamenei, his father.
