A man who recently went viral after confronting armed robbers in Minna has now shared a dramatic testimony about the incident in church.

The man gave the testimony during a service at the church of Apostle Johnson Suleiman, where he recounted what happened on the day he was attacked.

According to him, the robbery occurred shortly after he left the bank with ₦9 million in cash.

He told the congregation that armed robbers suddenly attacked him and took the money.
Despite the frightening situation, the man said he began praying in tongues while the incident was unfolding.

In his words, he believed divine grace gave him the courage to react.

He said he managed to grab one of the robbers’ guns during the struggle and started shooting back.

According to his testimony, the attackers also fired shots at him, but he claimed the bullets did not penetrate him.

Although the robbers eventually escaped with the ₦9 million, the man expressed gratitude that he survived the attack.
He also revealed that his car, which was taken during the robbery, has now been recovered.

The dramatic testimony has drawn attention online, especially because it follows earlier CCTV footage that showed the tense robbery encounter in Minna.

Somebody sold those kids blanks as bullets. Blanks are cheaper than regular ammunition. They however make the same sound as regular bullets, making people run for cover. It means the guy only shattered their windscreen and no one got injured — except maybe the driver from glass penetrating his skin.

But the guy tied odeshi on his waist that day. Of what purpose was the public testimony? He is merely putting himself and his family in danger because those guys may reorganize and come back for him in a revengeful manner given the fact that they also lost one of them.

Una too dey fear. Those guys will be so scared that they will have dispersed for now to different locations.
There was a time I had a confrontation with police officers to the point of almost killing one of them with my company van. I was afraid to resume work the next day because I thought they will come for me. Nothing like that because they themselves are on illegal job and scared also.
Instead, they will be thankful for a narrow escape.
