A lie can travel for many years, the truth will catch up in just a day.

You can't build a good house on a bad foundation.

Why was due process bypassed in the award of this project.

Why procurement procedures jettisoned?

Good project but why hi-tech?

Why take a loan to pay a contractor who is your business partner.
You can keep asking your questions while the project progress continues

Does the coastal road includes sections for future constructions of rail lines or railway for trains?

Some people are still crying that construction is ongoing.

This project was undergoing "due process" for almost six decades. Even former president Buhari turned the sod for this same road in Calabar in 2015. It never took off.

In 2023, someone decided to take it off and the same people started complaining.

A lot of problems in Nigeria can be solved without bureaucracy. We have everything in place. What we lack is implementation.

The following people were against the coastal road: Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nduka Obaigbena, Rufai Oseni, Arise News, the dude who arrogated public land to himself to build a resort, Kenneth Okonkwo, opposition to Bola Tinubu.

Peter Obi said the money should be channelled elsewhere. Atiku called it highway of corruption. Arise News looked for every means to kill the project and were asking for environmental impact assessment, as if they had the technical competence to understand it.

We thank those who got the project off the ground. A lot of artisans are employed and earn a living through it. The economic benefits for the people would be immense.

Dear Nigerians, remember those politicians who are against progress.
Very thoughtful comment. Our bane is this rubbish bureaucratic nonsense. We copy things that are totally irrelevant. What the hell is environmental impact assessment? Another mumbo jumbo programmed into your skull to super inflate contract sums with jibbersish.

The ones your white saviours have done in the past 100 years, who dem ask? Were there no trees or animals impacted by their crude means of development?

Today they're telling you about fossil fuels and shit, only after they've transitioned to so called new energy, and they know you can't afford that shit too...Now you're holding tight onto straws, protecting what they spent 200+ years "destroying" .

Whenever the road is completed, enemies can decide in protest never to ride on it, it's very valid and within their rights. Make dem no disturb the rest of us.

Is this part of section one or two
Section one is 47.47km and within Lagos state and thought to have been completed and commissioned for use

Melezenawii:
Construction progress continues on the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, particularly between Kilometer 20 and 30 (Ogombo–Sangotedo–Eko Akete axis).

During our last visit in February, this stretch was still undergoing active pavement works. Now, as of March, one carriageway has been fully completed from Kilometer 20 all the way to Kilometre 30, marking significant progress on this section of the project.

I do frequent Lagos Coastal road and it's always lovely.

Even i traveled through Abraham Adesanya route to Ogombo road and link Coastal road through Okun Ajah. It was a very smooth journey down to VI.

In fact that yesterday, i created youtube post with the video i took during the journey, i never knew the topic will be here this morning.

EIA ensures that roads are not washed away and they don't lead to flooding of neighbouring areas, among others.

EIA done by our white saviours is why our leaders looters steal money here that should do similar EIA to buy properties there, and enjoy basic things like water flowing through pipes into homes.

PANDORA PAPERS: Buhari visited Tinubu in corruption-tainted London villa acquired by Oyetola

Governor Oyetola, a relative of Mr Tinubu, may have sabotaged his own country by buying the exotic property as Nigeria made to seize it.

ByNicholas IbekweandTaiwo-Hassan Adebayo October 7, 2021 in Headline Stories, Pandora Papers Reading Time: 8 mins read

It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.

Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.

Oga, I understand your concerns. One thing I know is that since the country's independent in 1960, there have been no perfect government, it is either there are tainted with one corruption or the other. Those projects that passed through the right processes and channels, were they delivered? The answer is NO. The money alloted for the said project was siphoned by the same politicians. If Lagos -calabar coastal road will be delivered as promised, then, it will be an accomplishment for his government.

God's plan for us is that of good not of evil. Affliction shall never arise again in our land. So the coalition of failures can never win an election to set our country back again.

Is it the one that sold government companies to himself and cronies or the other one that is so clueless he could only build brewery and hide the remaining money in his bank to earn personal interest.

When Tinubu was building Eko Atlantic City, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Lekki Free Trade Zone, attracting $20 billion Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals to Lekki, the ADC coalition of failures were all clueless.

God can never allow such an ADC disaster befall Nigeria. No matter their propaganda.
My exact prayers and why i take Jagaban matter personal. We were standing apolitical for decades and things never improved. We no get another country. i have better things to pray for than to keep praying Nigeria should be better while watching the likes of opposition take power and keep us praying.

I think the major goal of Tinubu for building this project was to relieve Lekki-Ajah expressway and he has achieved that. That road is relatively free now because motorists are now using the coastal road.

Building road in a waste land. Giving such internal conflict, which obviously there is no way the security will patrol such miles in a blink of an eye. Introducing connecting roads is only mandatory when you curb the insurgents within the inhabitable environment. Investors won't vibe in to the structure properly leading to massive scam and land related ownership. What scheme did the ministry of environment performed to the general populist who ought to survive using this same channel.
Waste land I call it because the president is acting based on his key role in achieving a desirable To/Free means of transportation as per Agbero concern.

A good project with hidden greedy intentions.

If you check the modus operandi, he collects lands using government instruments under guise of people oriented projects funded by public funds and dubious partnerships with no accountability. But at the end of the day, you find out that almost all the lands and facilities associated to that project are suddenly owned by private entities...

The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway continues to transform Nigeria’s coastal infrastructure, and the Okun–Ajah section in Lagos is one of the most active construction zones right now.
