Cement price is not supposed to be above #7 to 8k in Nigeria, because most of the Raw Materials are locally Sourced. If the price Continues to increase, I advise the Federal Govt to allow our Importers to venture into the Importation of Cement. And see the price crash drastically. |

Emilokan is doing a great job of finishing the middle class. Propaganda does not run an economy, rather it just give some people a false sense of hope. Now is the time to ask Tinubu what was he preparing for for over 30 years? Security = 0% Economy =0% Healthcare = -45% Propaganda = 175% |

Dangote is just a very GREEDY person. Same thing with BUA. The most annoying evil thing he's even doing is selling more expensively in Nigeria, than the price he sells to neighbouring African countries. But trust a Nigerian, he'll still make excuses and justify his evil action. SEE PETROL TOO, JUST BECAUSE USA-ISRAEL AND IRAN IS FIGHTING AND IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK, PRICE OF FUEL IS GOING TO DOUBLE ALREADY. WHAT'S SUPPOSED TO CONCERN NIGERIA (BIGGEST PROBLEM OF OIL IN AFRICA) WITH WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST? |

If people don’t stop to Dey build house since cement was 5k,by now prices would have been nosediving but demand increases with the price too, manufacturers will be having a filled day…not even now that average people are paying amount that will finish a mini flat as annual rent datola:if I tell you that up till now i don’t know what that boa cement looks like,I used to see elephant cement but I don’t know if it still exists |

This thing is bad - we are about to do some renovation and prices have all gone up. Some traders are quoting N13k for Dangote, when we budgeted N11800 Same with iron rods and other construction materials. Plaster boards and POP are something else. |

henkey:How do you think they power the factories that make the cement then? Then transport costs...remember that diesel has been higher than petrol since 2015 at least...much higher. Diesel would also have shot up with the recent increases (that's why government is not doing well by not being more aggresive on railways) |

nairalanda1:You're right but those are selling cost. What about production cost? You pay labour less wages, you get raw material cheap and locally, and the only thing is the powering of factory of which shouldn't be the reason for high pricing. Let say the truth, the selling price is too much. It's pure wickedness. |

BioData45:They probably are paying their labourers a lot more money right now...tinubu economy things. Then tax at both federal and state level. And who told you they are getting the limestone cheap? I doubt. |

Now I can say with capitalist economy, we can never have selfless leaders. Even the so called West, people pay through their nose to enjoy those available facilities. Imagine we're suffering this much with our own indigenous business. |
