That statement above is so shocking coming from a Nigerian woman. May God continue to protect them all...our hardworking, focused women..... Ironfaceman: |

This is news , it never happened in Abuja before 2023, it was in PH I saw women driving buses and taxis, Wike dont export am go Abuja. Cost of living is very high in the FCT, you just cant dodge transport costs, school fees and house rent. People do kabu kabu to subsidize fuel costs, with the Iran wahala fuel is projected to reach 1800 by Easter. Time to review your vehicle choice, unless you re a politician or into yahoo yahoo, or are rich avoid v8 and v6 engines. |

If only the opposition knows their onions, some of these everyday hardships experiences by the masses are what they ought to use for their campaign rather than aspects of the economy (GDP, loans etc) that are not easily understood by the common man ![]() |

nwirinedu:Must they live in the fct.....there are so many people in our cities who add little or no productive value......many want to live big without putting in the work or getting the necessary skills, you then start shouting tinubu.......what is wrong with women ubering or driving taxis.....here In Lagos, women even drive refuse trucks and some drive buses, what's wrong with that in so far it covers some of your living expenses.......don't women drive cabs in uk or in America.......all these myopic propagandists should please go and sit down if they have nothing important to attack. The era of sharing free money without providing value is gone as was rampant during the military/pdp era,you now need to work to earn your keep....... |

Lanruze:Where were you when pump price was 730 naira,I bet you were too ashamed to come out to acknowledge it after all your doomsday projections, everyone knows the reason why fuel price has gone up and in a matter of weeks things would normalize......you should be praising tinubu for bringing an end to fuel queues,if it were in the past we would have been sleeping at petrol stations by now and buying at highly inflated prices. |

Didijiji:This ignorance amongst citizens is what keeps bad govenance going. Who told you they don't know they're destroying the country? Of course they know, they just don't care. They have Intel of what is happening in the streets more than anyone here on the internet. They know you're all suffering profusely. They president has acknowledged your suffering many times in his speeches so what are you saying. Instead of you citizens to organize and reject bad governance una go dey make excuses for them, claiming they don't know what's going on. The country is exactly the way they want it to be |

In Europe and big cities like NYC, Driving a Car is a luxury. You pay for car note, insurance, petrol, parking spaces and so on. Most people here use private cars for Uber and Lyft. It makes a lot of sense to turn a car from liability to asset. My Dad did this while I was younger...painted his car and would take people at UCH going to Mokola on his way home from work...after work, the amount of people looking for transport is usually massive. He drops me off at home, then do free trips from Sango to Mokola...that area is usually busy too. He built his first house before retirement and invested his salaries. Now, the children are benefitting annually from this. Manage your expenses, increase your revenue, change liabilities to assets. If you need more life advice, email me Ironfaceman: |

When you father did taxi. The environment was safer and the currency was stronger. But take a look now the environment is a death trap and the currency is almost worthless. MasterTeeUSA: |

MasterTeeUSA:While ensuring a mass transit/metro system is connecting many parts of the city to the hinterlands/suburbs. Let's include that aspect when we reference "saner climes". Abuja does not have a proper public transport system within the metropolis, which ordinarily should connect residents and workers to Suleja, Mararaba, parts of Nasarrawa, Kogi and Kaduna. That way, living costs are better managed, and people live dignified lives. Private car culture in a poor country like ours, without a solid credit finance system, does not augur well. |

It's called T-Pain. It's really rare to see a lady picking passengers up for commercial purposes before June 2023. But it has come to say on Abuja roads particularly airport road. |

| Re: FCT Women Are Converting Their Private Cars To Commercial Use by MasterTeeUSA: 5:39pm On Mar 10 |
Abuja is working on it but not all saner climates have great public transport system. I have been to some parts of US where people still use Uber to get to the train, and the bus systems are limited. Same with Toronto, USA and so on...if the system was so good, people wont get cars given the cost implications involved. We carpool, we manage petrol and where we go in saner climates...and these saner climates have existed for over 200yrs by the way. Let us be guided. Gerrard59: |
