Yes Muslims have Mecca and Madinah as two of their holiest place and Jerusalem being the third but that doesn't confer on them any Leadership in Islam and just s you know, the Nation Saudi Arabia is a construct of the British which happened I think in 1937 when the British were able to bribe Saud to rebel against the Ottoman rulership.

That was when the name SAUDI was added to Arabia/Arabiyya to make it SAUDI ARABIA.

From antiquity it has always been Arabiyya/Arabia.

That we face Mecca doesn't confer any Leadership of the Ummah on the Saudis.
