A suspected victim of “one chance” criminals has been rescued along the road near Coscharis Motors in the Central Area of Abuja.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, March 8, 2026.

The victim, Alhaji Haruna Usman, a cattle trader hails from Adamawa State, said he was travelling in connection with the transportation of 36 cows that were to be conveyed by a trailer from Adamawa to Bayelsa.

He explained that he first boarded a small vehicle from Jambutu in Adamawa to Zuba before later taking another vehicle heading to Maraba at about 7:30 a.m. to take a car from there to Bayelsa State.

Usman said he sat in the front seat while three other passengers occupied the back seat when the occupants of the vehicle suddenly turned on him and snatched his mobile phone, and cash of about N350,000.

He was rescued when some “good Samaritans”, found him and untied the cord on his neck.

Security situation in nigeria is getting bad every day. Seems we all should now move strapped.

This is why when these one chance people are caught, they should show them no mercy

He is fortunate.

Someone I knew was thrown out of a vehicle in this manner by one chance criminals. He hit his head on the asphalt and suffered severe head injuries that took his life shortly thereafter.

He left behind a wife and very young children.

But that is an anomaly in a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) 🤔

Not really true. I read this news somewhere else. This man is fraudulent. He has been faking this "one chance " for a while. He is faking it. People will pity him and contribute money for him. He always claim of heading to bayelsa to buy or deliver cattle. It's all fake. Even a military man confirmed it. He scamed the military man of 45k.
