PDP NCWC Inspects Proposed Venue for 2026 National Convention

National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has conducted an inspection of the proposed venue for the party’s upcoming National Convention scheduled to hold from March 29 to March 30, 2026.

The committee inspected the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, which has been proposed as the official venue for the highly anticipated convention.

The inspection exercise was aimed at assessing the readiness, suitability, and logistical capacity of the facility ahead of the convention, which is expected to attract party leaders, delegates, stakeholders, and observers from across the country.

Members of the committee carefully reviewed key facilities at the venue, including seating arrangements, security provisions, accessibility, accommodation options, and other necessary infrastructure required to ensure a smooth and successful convention.
During the inspection, the committee emphasized the importance of adequate preparation and coordination for the event, noting that the National Convention remains a critical gathering where major party decisions are taken and the future direction of the party is discussed.

The NCWC also interacted with relevant officials and local organizers to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place in line with the party’s standards. The committee expressed optimism that the Velodrome at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium provides a suitable environment for hosting a successful, peaceful, and well-organized convention.

The PDP National Convention, scheduled for March 29–30, 2026, is expected to bring together delegates from all states of the federation, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), party elders, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on important issues concerning the unity, growth, and progress of the party.

For Pete's sake, these aren’t PDP members. They’re members of a notorious rogue group called “Wike & Co. Caretaker Committee Ltd.”, just inspecting the venue where they intend to host their own owambe party.
