The Oga of incompetence said" If I don't give you power, don't vote for me when I come asking for vote"

Watch how delirious and self-hating Nigerians vote for this character in 2027.

Band A is the greatest fraud in the power sector that Nigerians accepted like bandits. Maybe they misread the bands for bandits undecided
What did they expect Nigerians to do?

Read the edited post. This is like saying the solution to the electricity problem is "tax the poor the same as the rich while the rich enjoys all the benefits". Even taxes don't work that way. You probably should read more about cost-reflective tariffs.
Well, we paid high prices for gsm when it was bad, and they earned the profit to make it good

We do that for the power sector too,.or we would.never see electric power

Sadly nothing goes for free or cheap. People like to be paid .

The point is that no ministry is working. We only hear budget but they've not received UpTo 3% of the budget amount to their different ministries to perform.
The government is packing all our oil money and taxes for settlement towards 2027.
Do you know how much governors and his house members collect before decamping to APC? Dey play. Blame the head and not the person he appointed. If not why not sack him. Moreover adelabu needs money to campaign for his governorship ambition and you know what that means grin
So na after 2027 una go see light if at all grin

The usual nonsense about 'subsidy removal' is being peddled on this thread as if the facts haven't proved beyond all doubt that subsidy removal isn't a silver bullet.

The argument made by government (and its apologists here) for Band A was that it was a cost reflective tariff (i.e. no subsidy involved) and customers on that band were guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours daily supply...because they were paying 'market determined' rates. But what happened in the real world? undecided

As we write, there are communities on Band A who have besieged both their local Discos and the industry regulator because for several months, these communities have not received the guaranteed 20 hours daily supply as agreed. All the online posturing about market determined rates and cost reflective tariffs has come to nothing. Nigerians are still waiting for the ideologues on this thread to give their usual excuses for failure.

If you can't meet your contractual obligations to Band A customers, haven't you shot yourself in the foot? If you can't service the one group of customers who would validate the endless sermons about the necessity for cost reflective tariffs, then what's the point? What exactly are you doing then? undecided

Nonsense

So why hasn't subsidies on power made us to generate over 2000000 mw for distribution and export then?

Better face the truth old man.

Crown Raii Fashola also. He was also 8 years of darkness

APC is darkness party.
Governors and legislators moving to APC in droves because of fear of getting rigged out by Tinubu's rigging capacity. Not that the governors and legislators like APC or approve of Tinubu's APC programmes.

A Minister who have failed critically in the power sector, does he even deserve to be made a Class Prefect?
Not to talk of giving him a Traditional title.
What did he do to deserve such honour?
Even his own Boss the President is no more on his useless national grid.
The entire country is in darkness.

Money, that is it. This should be obvious but Nigerians just like to criticize without offering any solution. It is probably the most capital intensive of all the ministries.
If the money is not there even if you appointed 20 ministers to manage that single ministry they won't achieve much.

Here we go again.

Refine your thinking, older man.

I don't know whether this obtuseness that routinely shows up in your arguments is real or feigned. undecided I wrote at length about how the removal of subsidies for Band A electricity customers has not brought the results you (and your fellow travellers) said it would. Instead of explaining why Band A customers have not been given the 20 hours daily supply contractually due to them (after subsidy removal) - you make the specious argument that subsidies on power have failed to generate more electricity undecided. That is an argument you are having with yourself and yourself alone.
Re: Nigerians Mock Minister Of Power, Adelabu, With A "Traditional Title" by Smartguyboy(m): 6:22pm On Mar 10
Instead of we as a nation to increase power generation and build more power plants we choose to segregate the electricity ⚡️ from rich to poor with Band A-E .

Only band A have light the rest should go to court .

For over two weeks now no light while my friend who live close to me have steady light.

😢

But that's the point. Several 'unfortunate' Band A customers are paying cost reflective tariffs but they are not getting what's due to them.

These unfortunate Band A customers are not being subsidized in any shape or form. You do know that, don't you? undecided

They are paying cost reflective tariffs but they are not getting the twenty hours guaranteed daily supply. Explain that - if you can.

When you are ready to have a proper debate, you know what to do.

The most incompetent Band A Purveyor Power Minister of all times.

With a proven record of 50 times GRID Failure under 2 years of his watch. You wonder why he acts like his boss, totally disconnected from reality. MISPLACED PRIORITIES bar non.

Currently, total power generation capacity is under 3,000 MGHZ, no light almost a month running and yet, the minister is collecting chieftency title.

Like minister, like his boss.
There is no Chieftancy title here. It is all mockery. It is someone using the Yoruba language to package mockery for the guy. The word 'okunkun' in Yoruba means 'darkness'. The picture you see is just a mockery. You will see there is enough black colour in the design. It's a title he himself doesn't want.
