Your government is letting them in.

Disincentivize them from coming through passing legislation and enforcement and then your illegal immigrant numbers will decrease over time but instead the likes of your rightwingers aka Randdigital, Operation Dudula, March and March etc sensationalize stories to whip up resentment so you can justify the xenophobia that burns in your hearts and win elections so they can get their own turn to loot.

I would argue the opposite. The South African passport is less appealing internationally than it was 15 years ago.

The mention of South Asians was to counter this so-called "upward trend" in passport abuse. The UK specifically had issues with this 10 + years ago with the "authenticity" and "security" of South African passport holders. The SA government upgraded the passports a few months later to counter, making it difficult to issue fake passports to non citizens.

The question I am asking is what now makes it a "rising trend" from that point. Where is the evidence? Its anecdotal at best.
