I’m not sure you read my comment to understand it properly. I didn’t encourage anyone to fight the police. My point was that while resisting arrest is wrong, we also cannot ignore the reality of police harassment and abuse of power that many Nigerians experience. The discussion should address both citizens obeying the law and holding law enforcement accountable. Please read slowly and carefully next time.
That is why many of you fail exams woefully only to be blaming the innocent lecturers just because you failed to understand the subject matter.

The topic was for people to not resist arrest neither should they fight the police as that is a crime in itself but your brain told you something else and you are still arguing based on what your brain told you even when your brain told you a very very wrong thing.

I addressed the topic and shared my perspective respectfully. If you disagree, that’s fine. But once a conversation turns to personal insults, it stops being a discussion. My point remains simple, citizens should not resist arrest, but law enforcement should also be held accountable when rights are abuse.
If you have problem with it, then sorry I can't help you.

Fighting a Police officer during arrest? Your express way to prison, avoid it whether he is on illegal duty or not.

Many people believe that arguing, resisting, fighting a police officer or destroying evidence can provide a quick escape from a police encounter.

In reality, these reactive behaviors often create new, independent offenses that are far more difficult to defend than the original allegation.

Whether a police officer is arresting you illegally or you have not committed any offence, please avoid struggling or engaging a police officer in a fight.

The worst is tearing or injuring a police officer especially one in uniform, you have not only assaulted the individual, but you have also assaulted the president and the constitution, in whose authority the officer is acting on.

Some officers attitude can sometimes be annoying, but you cannot use impunity to correct impunity.

Now, for you not to fall a victim, during police arrest, do the following:

1. Do not attempt to struggle or run away when officers come for you. Even if you are arrested unjustly, you will be released without any money paid so long as you know your rights.

2. Remain calm. Cooperation in the moment is not an admission of guilt; it is a tactical move to ensure your safety and preserve your legal options.

2. Spoliation (Destroying or Concealing Evidence)
In a moment of fear, individuals may attempt to smash phones, delete messages, or discard items. Please do not do any of such

Ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

There's no ignorant here my friend, arresting someone without indentifying who you're is illegal. Though I am not saying one should resist or fight back

It's called civil disobedience, different country have different rules for them. Especially when the law is carried out unjustly.

It is a normal police/security practice all over the world.
You can't be spending money anyhow without the government asking for your source of income.
