Ofunaofu:
Thank you Gov. Makinde and Gov Bala Mohammed. You both are on the right side of history.

Like I stated in the other thread,
Nyesom Wike the drûn.kárd is doing exactly what he vowed to do, hold the PDP down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

But he has already written his name in infamy as one of those who, alongside the drug bárón, played the ignoble role of stifling the opposition, undermining democracy, and bastardizing the judiciary

We will be here for those who will try to rewrite history with lies and falsehoods, claiming that Wike and the drug bárón is a beacon of democracy and singing their praises
Right side of history indeed, lamentations for the wailers, High Court ordered don’t hold any convention, u gladly went & disobeyed it, now you are coming here to shed crocodile tears for us?

I remember back then you were beating your pigeon’s chest that we have held our convention, today you are seeking for sympathy?

U never start to cry yet.

Honorable Mr Governor
Re: Governor Makinde Reacts To Appeal Court Judgement On PDP's Ibadan Convention by zoedew:

Your constitution clearly stated that you must conduct state congress before conducting a national convention. You failed to do that and went ahead to conduct a convention in violation of the party’s constitution. Sule Lamido, a founding member of your party declared interest in contesting for the party’s national chairman, you deliberately refused to sell the nomination form to him. Two different courts looked at all these anomalies and ordered you not to go ahead with the convention but you choose not to respect the orders of the court.

Now that the appeal court has rightly trashed the illegal convention, you’re here to blame everything on the president. Is the president responsible for all the above irregularities?
Gov. Seyi Makinde should be ashamed of himself for lacking strategic leadership and vision. Where he has ended up was not difficult for me to envision. Even me who is not a partisan politician and without access to the sitreps and intel that he has!

Is it not kama that is pressing the pdp who bragged how they'll rule the country for how many years againundecided

During pdp regime, how many governors where in the opposition?

During pdp regime, security personnel were used to chase governors who refused to fall in line.

It was Baba who first declared an election in this country "a do or die affair"

I don't understand why all of you are now vibrating like these things haven't happened before.

Going by your analogy that Wike held down the PDP for Tinubu, are we to also believe that the same Tinubu used Peter Obi to stagnate the LP and the ADC ?
Therefore Tinubu is smart enough to control his opponents like robots ?
Your logic.

Tinubu using wike to hold and tie PDP down inorder for Tinubu and APC to have an easy win in 2027 election..why is Tinubu afraid of PDP..
Re: Governor Makinde Reacts To Appeal Court Judgement On PDP's Ibadan Convention by kunle4toyeyaho:
Ofunaofu:
The issue isn’t whether PDP has internal problems. The issue is weaponizing the judiciary and state apparatus through Wike to cripple a major opposition party.

Today it’s PDP; tomorrow it will be any other opposition that stands in the way. That’s not democracy, that’s how countries end up with Paul Biya–style longevity in power.

History is watching, even if you and other of his supporters pretend not to see it today.
..you better be careful of what you say in public. How is Judiciary being weaponised? Can you defend this allegation if you are subpoenaed? That judgement is sound and unambiguous.
If you have common sense and understand party politics, you should know Wike's camp's argument is solid. Which organ of the party convened the meeting to ratify decision to hold Ibadan convention? Why going ahead with convention when there were 2 court injunctions restraining them from doing so? Can't they learn from APC with the way it constituted Mai Mala - Buni caretaker committee to lead the Party till a convention was organised? That judgement validating Wike's camp as authentic is very Correct!

This man finally buried the PDP before heading to ADC. On which platform will his candidate contest? Even, in ADC, he is going to be a newcomer and unless he opens the state vault for Atiku, nothing for him. He is an amateur in politics just like PO.
Those who supports evil will one day pay with their lives. Peter Obi amateur politician, yet he rules Anambra state for eight year and won 12 states including Abuja and Lagos. If not Wike rigging of River State election to APC that amateur politician would have been the president of Nigeria today.

Just make sure there is an alternative to this government, that's all.

It is up to Nigerians to decide whether it is safe to place all their eggs in one basket.

If the best democracies in the world are contests between candidates standing under multiple parties, I cannot see the successful example we are copying.

I depend on multiple banks, telecom providers, power providers, etc. Why should I depend solely on the one thing that can make or mar my experience as a citizen of this country even if it was performing exceptionally well. Is it?....
Under multiple parties?

How many parties are in the US?

His words made me shed a tear ..
The country is in a state of comatose and instead of elected officials to stand with the people and call out the government at the center for not being up and running.. instead almost all elected officials has joined the party of the government in the centre and eligible voters watch on without consign or hope..
A shame.

There is nothing in ALL political parties in Nigeria except how to grab power and steal our collective wealth sir . There is nothing like ideology . there is no roadmap for development of the country . Only how to get there and steal . That is why all your governors have been leaving . That is how APC governors will leave when and if the party has the same level of internal crisis . Even Tinubu left AD for ACN . It is all about power grabbing sir.

Btw, what's Governor Makinde's reaction to some attacks on some Pdp members in Oyo state over the weekend?

For how long would Oyo state continue with the backwards politics of attacking each other because of politics?
Oyo state people are familiar with that kind of thing in every PDP regime, the only time there was such rest, was throughout late Ajimobi’s era. I was shocked it didn’t happened in Makinde’s first term, though people expected it after he decided to use the Ex-Convict as his NURTW chairman.

Re: Governor Makinde Reacts To Appeal Court Judgement On PDP's Ibadan Convention by mdfash(m): 7:18am On Mar 11
This is the real issue. When Federal High court gave an order and you go to your State and got a wuruwuru order from a STATE high court, you are shooting yourself in the foot.

Makinde joined Wike and others and worked against PDP in the last Presidential election. He did his Ibadan convention, and instead of reconciliation and working for peace, the main agenda was expelling members who disagreed with him. If Makinde is looking for people who destroyed PDP, he should look in the mirror.

Obaofaba:
Disobedience to the lawful court orders can only lead to destruction.

Makinde should know that.

I think Tinubu deserves GWR for being the only president that was able to decimate and destroy all opposition parties in a country. Trump needs to come learn from him. I don’t blame Tinubu because if he hasn’t done that, he might loose re-election woefully. The only thing that can make him soft pedal on this would be if all opposition parties sign that they won’t contest against him
Only because our politics isn’t borne out of ideology rather stomach and pocket infrastructure.
