Half of Canada’s crude oil is exported abroad for refining. It is sold internationally at the prevailing market price, so they will buy the refined crude higher, so people paying higher at the pump is understandable.

Nigeria:
100% of Nigeria’s crude meant for local consumption can be refined within the country. Nigeria produces about 1.6 million barrels of crude daily. Out of that, Nigeria owns about 900,000 barrels which cost them little to nothing because it’s the oil companies who pay for crude extraction, and 40% of the oil is theirs as compensation which they can do with whatever they want.

Out of that 900,000 barrels belonging to Nigeria, Nigerians consume only about 300,000 barrels daily. This means Nigeria can sell 300,000 barrels of crude to them at the budget benchmark price of $50, while still selling the remaining 600,000+ barrels at the international market at the prevailing international price.

But because some Nigerians have chosen to not ask questions, just accept whatever they’re given, politicians will continue to play games with everyone.

Even the so-called opposition politicians come de vex me, because they have failed to utilize opportunities like this to call a press conference, explain this Math simply to Nigerians to show them how their government is ripping them off. They have failed to put this government on their toes.

The pump is showing 17.244 Gallons for 100USD.
1 Gallon is approximately equal to 4 litres of fuel.
So, she literarily bought around 69 litres for 100USD NOT 1 litre for 100USD

And it's looks like she is buying 100 dollars total worth of fuel not 100 dollars for just one gallon/litres of fuel

The top gauge shows amount of fuel bought. The bottom gauge shows price per gallon.

A gallon is estimated be around 4 litres.

So if a gallon of fuel is $17. Converting it to litres would 17 divided by 4. Which would give you around $4 per litre.
