Get a Ulefone. Not sure if they're sold in Nigeria but I've been using Ulefones, different versions for almost 10 years now.

One full charge will last about a week. Drop it from a mountain, it never breaks. Go swimming with it, it's waterproof. You can even charge other phones with it - it's battery is a power bank by itself.

You can check some reviews on YouTube. It's great for battery-life and ruggedity. You can even use it as a hammer if you want to test it's ruggedity. Many versions are crazily rugged. It may be just you and a few people in Nigeria that own one, so it's easy to find it when stolen or lost. It's various models, just choose the one with your budget that meets your expectations.

let me break it down for U this way.... Samsung has 3 types of screen, the original screen, the midrange screen and the cheapest screen...

Now if the phone has on screen finger print, the on screen finger print can only work when U put the original one... And the brightest of the phone will also be very high..

The midrange screen, this particular one will still serve u very well if U are a very careful person, the on-screen will not work, the brightness won't be as the original...

Then the last one which is the cheap one, it usually comes by luck, if U are lucky it will last, if U are not lucky it won't last long, so once U put this one, start gathering money for a new phone or original screen...

As for their prices, the difference between A series Samsung and android screen is not much... It's not usually more than 15k different.... Though the A series is not as fine as durable like the S and Note series... But it's still better than many Techno, Itel, redmi and Infinix.

That will determine the best option. But based on battery, memory, camera and durability, you can consider:

I own both the Apple iPhone 4, circa 2010 and Samsung Galaxy 9, circa 2018 both products still going strong. I just ungraded to a Pixel 9A on sale and no complaints so far. I didn't want to pay the Pixel 10 price.

Go for phone with victus 2 glass, level 6 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, with deeper grooves appearing at level 7 which cost money

For a rugged phone, consider brands such as Oukitel, AGM or Blackview. You'll find them on Jumia.
If you want a popular brand, look for one that has dust and water resistance. At least one with an IP64 rating. Then order a rugged case from AliExpress and a pack of glass screen protectors.

Redmi phone is very ok, Especially the real Xiaomi and their Note series as well.... Their C-series is their cheapest ones... They'll still serve u.. But A-series is better than redmi C-series
