I don't think you even said anything about law making. You are going to make laws and that is primarily the job of a lawmaker

The rest is sakamanje

I wish you best of luck sha

I live in Ogun state, Igbesa/Agbara to be precise. I don't know the state much like Lagos State, so where and where constitute Abeokuta North, thank you?

PACIONS:
Good evening Nairalanders.
My name is Hon. Ogunfeyitimi Tope Joshua, an educator, innovator, and social reform advocate from Abeokuta North. I believe leadership should not only be about speeches but about practical actions that improve the lives of our people.

I am preparing to serve my people in the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta North, and I want to engage openly with Nigerians, especially those who understand the realities of grassroots communities.

Abeokuta North has enormous potential in education, agriculture, youth development, technology, and local enterprise, yet many opportunities remain untapped.
Through community-driven initiatives like PAIN, ( POVERTY ALLEVIATION IN NIGERIA) I have continued to advocate for youth empowerment, civic responsibility, and sustainable development.
I am using this thread to:
• Listen to ideas from Nigerians
• Discuss practical development strategies for Abeokuta North

• Connect with Nairalanders who have ties to the constituency

• Encourage political awareness and responsible participation

If you have connections to Abeokuta North or Ogun State, your insight and support will be valuable.

Together, we can build a stronger and more progressive Abeokuta North.

This one will only go and enrich himself. I don't see him as someone who will solve the problems he is highlighting.

PACIONS:
If I had the opportunity to represent Abeokuta North in the House of Assembly, three immediate policy priorities I would push to tackle youth unemployment are:

1. Youth Skills & Innovation Development Program

I would advocate for legislation that supports the establishment of community skill and innovation centers where young people can gain practical training in areas such as digital technology, creative industries, agriculture, construction, and vocational trades. Skills must match real economic opportunities.

2. Small Business & Youth Enterprise Support Fund

Many youths have ideas but lack access to startup capital. I would push for policies that create structured micro-grants and low-interest loans for young entrepreneurs, alongside mentorship and business development support.

3. Agriculture & Local Production Empowerment

Abeokuta North has strong agricultural potential. I would promote policies that encourage youth participation in modern agriculture, agro-processing, and local value chains, helping young people move from unemployment into productive enterprise.

These three areas — skills, entrepreneurship, and agriculture — can create sustainable opportunities when properly supported.
But leadership should always listen to the people, which is why I truly value the ideas shared here.

Let’s keep the conversation going.
how do you intend to get the money to embark on these programmes?

Change that acronym "PAIN" quickly. The acronym may do a bad PR against intended essence of your initiatives (POVERTY ALLEVIATION IN NIGERIA), especially to the lay-audience. You can try POAIN

Good luck!

I am not based in Ogun State, but will post your campaign pictures in several social media platforms that are connected to your voting constituency, because online support does not win elections.

But if you do not have a genuine intention of transforming your constituency to become as developed as Europe or America, and if your intention is just to go and amass wealth, hmmmm. Then my hand no dey o.
Thank you very much for your honest comment, I truly appreciate it.

You are right that online support alone cannot win elections, but it helps create awareness and allows people to discuss real issues affecting our communities.

My intention is not to go into public office to amass wealth. What motivates me is the desire to contribute to the development of Abeokuta North and ensure our people benefit from purposeful representation.

I strongly believe leadership should focus on service, accountability, and real community impact

Your support in sharing ideas and encouraging discussions is already a positive contribution, and I appreciate it. Let’s keep the conversation going.

You’re right, the God factor is very important. With God’s guidance and the support of the people, we move forward.
I truly appreciate the encouragement.

I'm from Abeokuta north LGA. For starters, the acronym of your program seems off. Imagine telling people that when you resume you'll bring P.A.I.N. to them. So, recoin that first.

How does someone that joined nairaland on 23rd of January, 2026 now deserves this kind of public recognition, if not that money might have change hands
Paid post.

The guy is just wasting his time and money. Social media isn’t the place to canvass for votes.

Even if he canvass for votes offline, what party is he running on? His popularity? His history and offers?

He better gives us the money he is wasting now to do business .

After we mobilize votes for you now. You go leave us go join APC., come become Daniel Bwala.

Besides you're going to be a lawmaker yet your campaign policies is tending to one who's vying for the post of a LG chairperson.
