😤 One of the most embarrassing foreign policy failures in Nigerian history!
India and several other countries don REJECT Tinubu's newly posted ambassadors because his government has less than 2 years left — and many countries no dey accept ambassadors from outgoing administrations! 😳
But here is the bigger scandal:
Tinubu recalled ALL 109 Nigerian ambassadors in September 2023 — just 4 months into his presidency. Then he left ALL 109 Nigerian embassies and high commissions WITHOUT any substantive head for 30 MONTHS! 🤦
No ambassador in Washington. No ambassador in London. No ambassador in Beijing. No ambassador in New Delhi. For TWO AND A HALF YEARS! 😡
Now that he finally announced new ambassadors in March 2026 — countries are rejecting them because he only has 15 months left before the 2027 election!
And to make it worse — the foreign ministry announced the postings BEFORE getting approval from host countries — a basic diplomatic mistake that shocked experts! 🤦
