Screw Kounde. Using Araujo as RB is not a reason I will appreciate Kounde. Screw him.

Araujo is a suspect. There was a chance Newcastle had because he kept them onside. I don't think he faced the kind of problems Cancelo faced out on the left yet he got injured (I doubt his injury claims) and when he was allowed back into the pitch, he was too slow to get back in position. It would have been better to stay out injured than to go down injured and then signal to the ref to let you back in only for you to fail to get back in position.
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by patrickmuf(m): 11:21pm On Mar 10
For the game at Camp Nou, Flick should pair Casado and Bernal with Pedri in front of them if he knows he won't start Olmo because I don't think Fermin Lopez understands his role as the link between midfield and attack. His play left me frustrated for the most part.

I disagree, if we have the funds, we should break the bank for Alvarez
I'd gladly spend that money on Osimhen and a left CB. Alvarez with all the love I have for him doesn't seem like a fit for Barca at present with the style of play we use now.
We need a dominant striker on the pitch who can dominate and duel defenders as well as good link up play. Qualities Osimhen has in spades.

Alvarez is a luxury but to me. Especially when we already have a frontline of players who can create chances like Yamal, Raph, Fermin, Olmo etc.

Dem no dey let me talk anything. I just dey look them.

Ferran this Ferran that. Ferran can miss sitters but at least with him on the pitch, you'll have the chance to miss sitters. But with current Lewandowski? Lol, you dey joke. If you don't have a perfect game and attack, just forget it Lewandowski.

Ferran presses throughout. And good with positioning. With Lewandowski, the opponents basically has no fear coming out to play us cos he's barely a threat to the defenders. Ferran, You've it at the back of your mind he might get lucky and get goals or put you in compromising situations that allows othe teammates to score.

If Barca fails to get the ball or the wingers are struggling, forget wetin Lewandowski wan do for you.

It was just funny to see Flick bringing Ferran in the 88th minute. I even like as him do am like that. People no go get reason of excuse to dey shout him name when the team played rubbish.

I would choose Olmo over Fermin

And Ferran over Lewandowski.

Tight spaces, they both good in tight spaces and Ferran presses more.

Link up play and u rate Victor ahead of Alvarez? It is not luxury. Alvarez has proven himself with Argentina and Manchester City, he's a world class striker. I will take him

We where solid at the back today but our attacking trio was atrocious, Raphinha especially. Fermin has started his on today, off tomorrow performance. Pedri had a surprisingly off day in the second half.

Bernal is just a pain to lose at this crucial time of the season. I hope he is fine.
Nah...Kounde actually needed this rest. It was imperative that he sits this one out.

Normally, Kounde unlocks Lamine Which improves the attack but this season, he's been hot potatoes in defense. Barca played a very solid game defensively which is what was needed away from home. This is better than going 2 or 3 goals down with garbage defense then chasing the game at Nou Camp. Harvey Barnes would've roasted Kounde so bad.

It's St James Park, considering the overall result, I don't think Kounde was missed.

We’ve got to give Pau Cubarsí his flowers, too. It shouldn't all be criticism—the guy racked up so many interceptions and blocks yesterday. If Gerard Martín can just bulk up a bit, I think they’d make a top-tier duo. Cubarsí as the brains and Martín as the brawn.

Looking back at the game I think Flick was pragmatic cause of our fitness issues in our thin squad and learning from the atletico and maybe inter tie. We couldn't obviously compete with Newcastle's physicality and press throughout the game. Notice we didn't come all out to attack and our line was not as high as we normally see it. We did the same against Bilbao
Cubarsi and martin were superb. They chased balls, intercepted, had clearances and won headers. Araujo also did well to hold off Barnes till he changed in the second half. I think our defence did well cause we would have conceded goals if they switched off. Cubarsi impressed me the most yesterday

Cubarsí was absolute class yesterday—I just hope he keeps this level up for the second leg.

My only concern is the midfield. To progress, we need either Eric Garcia or Frenkie in there to lock down Newcastle’s engine room; that’s where their real strength lies. If we don’t control that midfield battle, we are in trouble.

De jong is out for that game so our hope is Eric is fit, bernal tried his best but newcastle were using physicality and experience to chance him, if fermin had a good game yesterday we might have done better but he was bad

We also need to rotate heavily on Sunday. Roony, casado and espart should start. I liked espart's performance when he came on yesterday. His defensive block was vital in the buildup to our equalizer

St. James park is never an easy stadium to play in. Given all the circumstances we found ourselves in, I really love the pragmatic approach. No need to try to over-extend yourself and then get overpowered by a much more intense and physical side since there is still the second leg to come.

Let's see how they can match the intensity of Barca especially now that the City council has approved the 1C section of the stadium. So, probably from the Sevilla game in the weekend, fans will be able to occupy the North goal of Spotify Camp Nou.

That’s true. Let’s hope they can perform well against Sevilla because I’m sure Sevilla isn’t going to give us an easy win.

Even though we are eternally at each other's throat I now hope real Madrid not only beat but also knock out man city. I've been seeing some crazy comments like wolves will make top 4 in laliga, Barça will be fighting for relegation or yamal won't have a career of he started from the EPL just because we drew last night. The second leg next week must be our priority rn. We have to win

One good season and EPL fans have started acting up. Let’s be guided! La Liga remains the undisputed king of the Champions League—we’ve been stacking trophies back-to-back without making noise. Now, these guys think they are better after just a few months of form? Abeg, EPL is nothing but pure, unadulterated hype. That is exactly why England is still lagging behind in international football.

My thoughts too,Araujo matched them aggressively... didn't watch the second half fully.

Cubarsi performed excellently. It's our wingers that didn't bite or wreck havoc same as our striker and midfield suffered for it.

We didn't give Castle reason to defend or get scared.

Nothing will ever make me to wish Real Madrid to beat and knock out ManCity or any other EPL side for that matter. Im sorry I am not with you on this one.

The EPL fans can claim whatever they like and they might be right. I mean, EPL teams have lots of money, more than any other league. That's a fact. More money generally mean ability to get better and deeper squad. So, it is understandable why the league is better than every other league and they have the numbers to prove it. Out of the 16 teams in the last 16, 6 is from the EPL. That's remarkable.

My only problem is that I don't enjoy watching EPL games, as they're mostly lack technical depth.
