Could be but funny thing is, I didn't put Aba as my delivery location.
My delivery location is Umuahia post office but the customer care said my package is in the Aba delivery office.
Everything just dey confusing

One thing Nipost does is that until packages are ready to be dispatched to the various post office branches, they do not update the tracking.Even if the packages arrived at their warehouse, they do not update tracking. In that case, they don't take responsibility should in case anything happens to your package. They simply tell you they don't have your package

And sometimes it’s already at the nearest PO they just don’t update the tracking, in most cases for unregistered items but some registered items sef get there and tracking won’t be updated.

I believe 90% of item that do not update after departure to destination country are with nipost.
Nipost has been a major factor in virtually every bad experience I have had on AliExpress

Did your tracking get updated before it was delivered?
Yes it was update to "Received by local carrier" before I got a call for delivery

I still messaged them today about my item that’s at airport since Jan 30th, their response, same thing - it’s not with them yet when clearly they know it’s with them.

Aliexpress sef ain’t really serious with their delivery timeline for Nigeria cos if they are, they will hold NIPOST responsible for their shitty delivery time - or maybe it could be that not a significant about of items are delivered via standard shipping people prefer choice items now.

Had it been NIPOST bears the burden of refunding customers when items are not delivered on time ni, dem head for don reset wella.

Was at their office, went to their customer service and they kept on telling me same stories that my packages are not with them. This got me pissed off, when I know fully well that my items are in their warehouse, but because they have not updated the tracking, they will keep saying it's not with them.
I requested they manually check for my items in their warehouse, but they refused. How can items that the tracking says have arrived local airport since November/December still not be updated. And each time AliExpress is contacted, they quickly advise that you should request for refund. This isn't the best way to address such issues. I have told them severally that I do not want any refund. I need my packages to be delivered. I will keep pressing until I receive my packages.

If nothing is done about this, it will keep reoccurring.

New things are evolving on AliExpress in recent times!
Before now, the rule is: "buyer can only open dispute at the end of protection period". But it seems there are a number of exemptions to this now : for the first time since I started shopping on AliExpress, I was given an offer to request for a refund on order still in transit, and whose protection period ramains 14 days. It's a big surprise to me! They even tendered apology for delay in the delivery of the item. Well , I've accepted the offer and the refund is already processing.

The order was placed in early January and shipped by Malaysia Post. Estimated delivery time was supposed to be February 20, while BPP is March 23. But this evening, checking on the order to know the current tracking status, I saw this caption in red asking me to "Request for a refund because of delay in delivery". I thought it was a joke, thinking that they might ask me to "supply evidence" that I've not received the item! But when I gave it a try, the refund was approved instantly.

They keep saying the same thing - it’s tiring at this point - they should just say what’s causing the delay and one will know how to go about it.

I still have 25 days to the end of buyer protection. I’ll seek refund if it remains less than 15 days.

I don’t know if the seller declared the item - I asked them but they say they don’t know - they only offered to give me another customs declaration that bears the price of the item.

I’ve actually not seen anyone here that got delivery of anything mobile or tablet. Someone here already has a delivery timeline of over 90 days for a tablet.

At this point, I’m tired.

They’ve been doing that for a while now, when your order remains less than 15 days to the end of buyer protection, you’re eligible for refund.

46 days here, i wonder what’s happening to those undelivered items tho. The tab now is out of promo so a reorder would now be expensive

AliExpress anniversary sales begins soon.

Lots of coupons will be available.

I have said it before that writing the full description of an item on the package increase it's risk of going missing.
All Malaysia post item carries the full description of the item on the package.
If you order a xiaomi x7 pro, Malaysia Post will put the full product title on the package. Unlike before max, "mobile phone" will be the item description

Sometimes they get delivered after months and sometimes they get stolen by NIPOST staffs.

Yeah, it makes the risk of theft more higher cos phones and tablets especially latest ones are more easy to sell for a good price if stolen. Other items like watches, speakers and the likes do not really hold better values compared phones and tabs.

It's not AliExpress' fault; logistics can be unpredictable sometimes!

They call it "estimated" because they expect items to get to buyers before or shortly after the said date, under normal circumstances. But the current situation of deliveries with Malaysia Post, in collabo with NIPOST, is abnormal.

Those dates they give is the general average of days it takes for items to get delivered irrespective of their countries - check delivery timeline for other countries and you’ll see it falls between when they stipulate - even choice items get delivered close to their estimated date.

NIPOST is the main issue why items are delivered very late or not delivered at all cos same POS Malaysia handles deliveries to other neighboring countries and no issues has been gotten from them whatsoever.

Exactly, Nipost is the main issue. Trust me, any package that the tracking says"Arrived at Local airport" is already at NIPOST warehouse. Until, the items are ready to be dispatched to various post office branches, that's when tracking is updated, but until then, packages remains with them. The reason I insisted that they should physically search for my items. I do not want their system tracking because they will definitely tell you they don't have it.

And the crazy thing about them is that when the person that orders an item is even volunteering to help them hasten the process of the delivery like providing alternative logistics or even going to NAHCO building to get the items, they still decline it - only them knows why!

But sha AliExpress is to blame sha - they shoulder refunds and most likely doest’t sanction NIPOST for failed deliveries cos if they do NIPOST for no Dey misbehave like this when it’s not like the deliveries are not paid for by Aliexpress/users.

Is there no way we can voice out our complaint to the Aliexpress management of the inefficiencies and unethical practices of Nipost.
This delays have continued and grown worse, because they've not been checked or cautioned.
Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by Ex0rrcist: 12:04pm On Mar 11
This nipost issue is also making some stores stop shipping to nigeria, or for expensive items like phones. That lenovo store will probably soon stop shipping to Nigeria, I'm very sure of that.

I called NIPOST customer service not too long and they told me my package is with Aba post office that I should go there to take it but Aba post office is saying that they don't have my package with them..
