A man, identified as Adegoke, was reportedly kidnapped last week while traveling to Sokoto State on March 6, 2026. In a video shared online by Isaac Fayose, he can be seen pleading with Nigerians to help raise the ₦100 million ransom demanded by his abductors.

Reacting to the clip, Isaac Fayose described the situation as heartbreaking, saying:
"This is so sad. This is the biggest industry in our country as at today. Please, come to his rescue."

In the footage, Adegoke appeals urgently to the public, recounting his terrifying ordeal and begging for assistance to secure his release. The video has drawn intense public attention, exposing how kidnapping has become so widespread and profitable that some commentators describe it as almost “industrial” rather than sporadic.

Many critics have blamed law enforcement agencies, including the police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), for not doing enough to apprehend suspects or disrupt kidnappers’ networks — despite some kidnappers showing their faces publicly and even using mobile phones to communicate their demands.
