There is no privacy in a public spaces. in a private coy building or hotel etc yes privacy rules may be enforceed depending on the situation. They have failed to address the unavailability of BRT buses at ikorodu terminals. ![]() |

I knew they will come and hide behind this one finger, what's privacy in a public space. There's nothing that says videos cannot be made in public space , the only time it becomes an issue is if someone now uses it for something injurious to others. Fix the BRT system, it has collapsed and she's saying the truth using her channel to advocate for changes ![]() |
| Re: LAMATA Refutes Confrontation With Tiktoker Darkskinnedella, Cites Privacy Rules by delpee(f): 10:06pm On Mar 11 |
It's not compulsory to travel by BRT. There are options like private road transport and boats from Ikorodu. The content creator should note that she has no right to film people against their will even in public places. This reminds me of the large number of new BRT buses burnt during End SARS. If LASG didn't replace them, it means there'll definitely be a shortage of buses. |

Government should stand up to its responsibilities Allow other investors to share the BRT LANE to ease movement for decent people, it’s not everybody that want to board Danfo and argue with bus conductors Nigeria is blessed with abundance Human Resources for any business to flourish, the huge population is an advantage yet you abusing it, it’s rude for you to tell a customer to go tell her father to buy bus or enter danfo when she has her money with you, it’s not nice For years you are not able to sell electricity to your huge population and make money as a government, all you do is tax tax and tax It’s somehow shameful Please made amendments |

delpee:She has chosen to travel by BRT. And as a responsible citizen and customer of the BRT System, which is her preferred mode of transportation, she reserve the right to ask for improvement on the service she's paying for and can task the government to provide better services to meet her demands as a customer which in turn doesn't only benefit her but also the larger society. Now, you tell me: What is it you enjoy about stagnancy, backwardness and redundancy? What wrong has she done by asking the government to provide the paying public more buses or you've just chosen to be an agent of retrogression at no profit whatsoever to you? |

jaxxy:In Nigeria, there are privacy laws in public spaces. Thats why some restaurant will bar their patrons from using recording video. If you carry your babe to a restaurant and I start recording you and your babe, would you find that pleasant?

In Lagos, if you demand for excellence, they'll misconstrue it and label you as a rebel or an obidient. The fellows are so myopic, clannish and backward. You must operate like a robot, accept all manners of BS, sing that hypocritical song - on Emilokan's mandate, you shall kpeme.. |

ComeToJesus:if and only if even brt exists in the state she came from…to think that she can’t even afford commercial bus fares, that’s why she went to queue for brt.i didn’t even bother to check where she came from cos she already get trait. She didn’t even bother to post why there is no brt arrangements in the whole of her entire region, but it is so easy to post that there are shortages where it is even provided.she should go back to her village where one bus is available for every commuter. |

She is mischievous u can't force her not to take the BRT. it is a public bus run with public funds. Also she has every right to create awareness to the issues in society. |

jaxxy:BRT operates through a hybrid model that heavily utilizes private sector investment and partnerships. It is not solely public. Majority of the bus operators are franchised. |

In the video below also trending today, DJ chicken was kicked off the train in the UK for videoing people without their consent. Interestingly, Nigerians in the comment section are condemning him for his behavior. Same Nigerians would shout its okay to record in public space in Nigeria. Hypocrisy everywhere ![]()

Sometimes I wonder how we find ourselves in the midst of people who lacks comprehension like this JAXXY. You can record in public but not capturing faces without a consent. It is not done anywhere. Read Nigeria's Data Protection Act and learn. Let her try that with someone like me, she will never repeat it. What kind of gaslighting and disturbance of public peace is that? Apart from BRT in Lagos, you have the yellow buses, luxurious buses, yellow cabs, Uber, Bolt, Indrive and she can also own a car. Why the obsession with Lagos? You were referred to the Act to read but no, you have understanding problem. Before you say anything, they are mentioning other countries even when they have never left the shores of Nigeria. I trust Lagos State laws, she go hear am. Lagos has laws and not where non State actors control the citizens. Know this and know peace. jaxxy: |

Benglarue:She has a right to record in public spaces has been agreed but she can't capture people's faces "IF" they don't want. Now if u go ahead to harass her for recording u have come into her space to commit a crime. I hope u know that? If ure not happy with ur fave showing politely tell her and if she doesn't comply and uses it publicly u can then go to court and address it but if u touch her for recording ur face u are also going to face the consequences. I hope we are on same page now? ![]() |

FutureFocus:I can't agree less with you. We have very incompetent and visionless leadership across the country both at local, state and federal level. What does it take a serious govt to create a Public Private Partnership to raise private money to buy as many busses as possible and put them on the BRT Roads to generate income for the investors. In actual fact, what we need across Nigeria is not even busses but trains criss-crossing the states and the country, with our population density, and potential to drive our economy to higher growth, it is obvious that the governments at all levels cannot meet the infrastrural development require by Nigerians in 2026, certainly not at this miserable pace, when Nigerians will have to queue for 2 to 3hours to get a BRT Bus cannot be an acceptable standard. BRT is not cost effective, a single train can have 30coaches and each coach can accommodate 120 passengers. And it will be faster and cheaper, our so called leaders go abroad and see all these but they are too busy with politics to think of governance. The stockmarket is awashed with institutional investors looking for viable investment opportunities to invest in, why these state govts cannot harness these investors with incentives beats my imagination. Hopefully one day, we will get the right people in the right places |
