That's my president. You are right sir, the Tinubu's FGshould have convinced the US not to attack Iran and he should have rained down bombs on both Iran and Israel for attacking each other's oil installations as per the African giants that we are.
To be frank, Tinubu is the world's luckiest president. Man has zero opposition and with this way the one speaks, I'm convinced he's actually working for Mr President😂😂

What Obi is saying is that we should store petroleum products strategically so during period of scarcity the stored products can be released. This way the price fluctuation can be better managed. I see nothing wrong in that. He is saying the truth. Let us learn to accept the truth because it is constant no matter who is saying it.
hope you also know crude price not always stable too. So who will take up the lost if crude price crash down. Even if it's stored will still be sold with the correct market price.

In as much as I have promised myself not to be supporting any presidential candidate again, this man looks misfit for presidency. To govern a country is not by opening mouth all the time to criticize blindly. In fact if he should win future election, I pray the country will not be in for a doom.

He is wrong by proffering a wrong solution to a wrong problem. The issue here is not scarcity of oil but high price of oil. Even if you store trillions of barrels of oil, you still have to sell it at the same global high price. Nigeria is a member of OPEC.

Re: Lack Of Planning Behind Nigeria’s Fuel Price Hikes — Peter Obi by Bankowner: 1:42pm On Mar 13
"......These rapid increases illustrate how quickly external shocks can affect the Nigerian economy.”
For the first time, I will disagree with PO. It's not only Nigeria that has been affected by the Iran/US war in terms of gas price. All over the world, gas prices have gone up. Yesterday, I waited till it was late in the evening to buy gas. It's slightly cheaper to buy at that time of the day. I bought gas worth over $50 to fill up my tank, and mind you, I had over a quarter tank before then.

This guy will just open mouth anyhow to say rubbish. He never says anything reasonable about our issues. Always vague without substance.

He knows nothing. Nothing about this country. Nothing about geopolitics.

How does a nation prepares for external shock from a war in far away Iran?

The hike in gas and diesel in the US is because of lack of planning too?

This same war is causing the price of urea (fertilizer) to spike all over the world, na lack of planning too?

For someone who advertises himself as a market-to-market businessman, he knows nothing about supply and demand.

LNG spiking over 90% in Europe since the war started, na lack of planning too?

If you ask him how he would have planned if he was president, na rubbish him go talk too.

This dude is nauseating. Tueh!

How can Nigeria insulate herself from global shocks like this when no be say na we dey set price of oil or control price of oil? Maybe we should exit OPEC and start drinking our oil. Mtchew!
I love you, and thanks for the above.

To know and see that there are people supporting this guy even in his gross ignorance is scaring the shitt out of my anxiety...

Very fake and Obama-wannabe ignoramus

The sector has been deregulated. Government can only store crude, via NNPC. Government can’t store petrol.

As I type, there are petrol stored in tank farms and depots all over Nigeria by private owners.

Oil is sold on FUTURES. So the future price a crude oil will be delivered to you is determined today. Therefore, oil/petroleum marketers sell petrol that they have on hand today, using the contract they signed for future delivery of oil, at a price they agreed today.

Ask people who trade derivatives. They will explain more.

Even if we keep fuel till tomorrow because of shock or short suddenly disruption, the price it will be sold can’t come down UNLESS it is subsidized. Don’t forget we are no longer in subsidy era. That’s why government is not keeping any petrol again.
