In the factsheet they sent me, gold has been outperforming the equity market in Asia for almost a year now. It does around 67-74% YTD annually. They also have the Gold Plus that does around 100+ YTD annually, and it's only reserved for their citizens.

welzyj2:
Is buying the actual gold any better. Just asking

Also, I guess silver is currently more expensive

Sorry, bro. One week is too early to make any judgment. My advice is to kindly move your money to MMF, as equity might not be what your risk appetite is. Equity should be held for at least 6-12 months before finding an exit route.

volatility, but I think MMF might be suited for him. Most fund managers in Nigeria should have a mini exam like my foreign bank did to me here to know the risk level of an investor before accepting any payment. I will be investing in Gold and equity once my KYC is approved from their head office. "King Solomon Gold"

How long was your money in the balanced fund? Did they charge you a penalty fee when you removed your money from it?

Re: Equity Investment. by richgang(m): 11:41am On Mar 13
Hello House,

Please enlighten us. Since most of these equities usually return around 30% to 51%, I noticed that GT Equity did about 57% last year, while ARM did about 55%. Most of them have already done more than 25% this year alone, which means only about 25% to 35% may be left for the rest of the year.

So it seems likely that more red days could still come.

My question is: since most of these equities have already done almost 50% in just about three months, is it still advisable to invest in equities now, or would it be better to relax with MMF until next year and then invest in equities starting January 1?
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:08pm On Mar 13
I don't access it daily, as the report is weekly and sometimes doesn't come on time. Kindly follow the link and check at the end of the report at the end of the week.

Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:21pm On Mar 13
To be honest, it is better to wait till December and enter; the market is unpredictable for now. Nevertheless, you can invest a little amount to navigate the market.

Good luck, and try Zedcrest for now. Go with 10-50k. Zedcrest is at 50+ YTD at the moment.

Good afternoon brother, thanks for your thorough explanation here.

I have been doing only MMF since like two years plus now.

My money has grown over the years to something tangible and I want to start investing on equity. I don't have problems about taking any risk at all.

What would be your advice on percentage of investment between MMF and equity, 50/50 or 40/60 or 30/70 or 20/80 or 60/40 or 70/30 or 80/20. Which of these investment percentage will you advise. My budget is over 60M.

Also I registered with Zrosk, my account has been approved, an account detail with account name: Meristem TRST/Zrosk Equity Fund with stanbic account number was send toy email to start investing. So I went to the website, I didn't see login link. So my question now is, after payment to invest, how will I be seeing my investment since there is no provision to login and see you investment, please help clear me on this.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 1:26pm On Mar 13
Chief, Zrosk will send your investment portfolio at the end of the month to your email. Currently, I get my investment details at the end of the month. My advice is to lock 10M in Zrosk and 15M in Zedcrest and keep the rest in MMF, and may God bless your courage and hustle. Once you fund your Zrosk account, send me a personal DM so I can add you on WhatsApp to monitor the progress.

Chaiiii....I feel the frustration in your message

I have equity with Stanbic too....the truth is that my capital isn't affected yet....

But bro.....can you give it time?....let it recover?.....

Meanwhile.....if you can.....do not put all your funds in equity since you are a beginner like me.......

Take things easier......

The truth is Equity is the only REAL fund "grower".....

Just start with like 20% of all your investment funds .....

Good luck
Mistake people keep making because money is being made on some investment that goes up doesn't mean it won't come down then they move in heavy, get in early or go with the ride. If the up and down don't work for you invest in MMF and get daily influx and maintain it or invest the profit in equity that way capital is persevered and some fund are in equity dancing.

It's still uncharted it might end in the year at 40% and those that invested when it 50% will lose 10% or it might be 100% at the end and those that entered at 50% make 50%. It's not guaranteed but the main part that is would be that you won't lose it all or most of your investment

No, it's not legit; they are still running the YTD for previous years. Check Cowrywise for ARM's aggressive YTD.

I don't think so seems they are using some period of 2025 in that report.
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 2:54pm On Mar 13
Yes, when stocks are down or there are rumors of war, gold prices go up. I've been monitoring the gold platform on the bank website for days now, and it has been green all week. They even have a pensioner gold fund, which yields higher than the normal gold fund.

Me I am waiting on that dip, once I get a dip that's a comfortable range, I will engage with equity or direct stocks. I have a list of them I am reviewing and checking the value fundamentally. If it doesn't I remain in MMF till it's dipping period towards end of the year. I missed the ride from January big mistake.
