1999 Presidential Election results was an Interesting one. OBJ a Yoruba man became the president without winning any YORUBA state. OBJ Results in Blue, Falae in Red. He won in North, South South and South East. It shows Regional party can't win a Presidential Election in Nigeria. You need national appeal.

We need a leader like Gen Obasanjo that other tribe could trust ...I don't remember Gen Obasanjo marrying a Northern Wife.

Not disputing the results but these figures looked rigged. Anyways, Nigeria was better then. The Nigeria now is a calamity

Wow Benue came through for OBJ. As if they knew what will happen to them should leadership fall into the wrong hands. Look at numbers of voters mehn. People were comfortable, educated and involved then. Not now that the country has been destroyed.

Notice how Olu Falae sores up to 25% in all of the south east states.
Tomorrow some tribalists will come up with stories of how Igbos put their eggs in one basket.

I hope you realise the 2 candidates were from the same region , so your theory is faulty.
If you put obi and another easterner on the ballot both of them will have votes in the south west .

Many years after the figures were confirmed to be rigged, we still push this as history
