exactly my question... Infact they should please for all that is good sell off NNPC.. We nit going anywhere if that entity is not sold off.

A ministry of petroleum resource is ok to regulate and all royalties paid directly onto government cofers with CBN
. That's all.. Not rocket science.

NNPC is run like a government parastatal where there is very little accountability, very little incentive for productivity and a lot of money is wasted.

We have Kaduna refinery that has run at a loss since its inception. I am not sure it has ever produced a drop of fuel. And people have spent their whole careers there

The refineries down south are not much better as someone signed off on a 1 billion dollar rehabilitation that failed to yield anything outside of a commissioning ceremony.

A lot of engagements are not about adding value but about money for the boys.

A lot of revenue NNPC should be generating is going into a black hole.

So here we are.

This government is just playing with Nigerians and using them to do their business. I was reading to see true reform in petroleum sector that will involve and ensure all our refinaries functioning 100% or even 80% only to see long political grammars.

Why are more citizens entering into multidimensional poverty unde rthis administration?

The PIA is a law. Ideas are required to unlock the benefits of the law. Without the ideas the law will become lame.

The only reform left is to,

1. Dissolve NNPC and limit it's operations to regulatory role like NEC of Power sector, CBN of banking sector. simple.

2. Sell all the Carcass Refinery that has served as conduit pipe for mass corruption in the name of turnaround maintenance.

3. Sack and payoff all the NNPC staff and save Nigeria from its generational and monumental wastage paying staffs highest salary in an unprofitable sector is worth the Axe.

4. Dissolve other unproductive affiliate agencies like PEF (Petroleum Equalization Fund), DPR, etc. The removal of fuel subsidy and the emergence of Dangote refinery has rendered most Oil affiliated agencies redundant and useless. What petroleum price are the equalizing again?

What is this, is it another PIA, Time wasting exercise, just to bring everything under him. Anyways, he will be here for a time.

Make this one do get out jare, which stupid reform,
Provide security of lives and property then give Nigerians social welfare, nobody send you reform.
