Yes, blur people's faces. It is not everyone who wants to be seen impromptu and certainly without the person's permission. They should learn from East Asian creators: blur their faces.

Everything should not be used for content.

Long overdue...

There should always be consent from all participating parties.
Next time you physically fight your wife in the market see if anybody will seek your consent before you see it all over socisl media!

Yes o. Every citizen has a right to privacy
Yiu DON'T have a right to privacy in public. Anybody can look at you and video you. You do have a right thst your clear, identifiable image not be used for ad or such

Yes it is but at the same time one can call out whoever one wants to call out without violating people's privacy!

We can do the right thing the wrong way!

Wisdom they say is profitable to direct!!

Some of you will pull an extreme example from wherever just to prove a point!

The NDP act clearly defines your right to privacy and where content creation crosses the line.

The moment a data subject (you and I ) withdraws consent just like someone told her on one of her videos that he doesn't want to be shown in her video, that's where she crossed the line!

If you have to do the video, then do it, but assure them that you will blur their faces.

Win win!

We love lawlessness that's why anytime we are told the right thing to do we consider it vindictive!

Do your content creation but don't violate people's privacy!

This is why it is standard practice to inform you that you are entering a CCTV monitored facility!

The way you boldly declared that "You DON'T" and then "Anybody can look at you and video you." beats me!

Obviously your submission has no basis in law abeg!

Try carry your phone video me when I dey chop in a restaurant and you will sell that your phone by the time we are done in court!

My friend facility is NOT public space. When you are in a PUBLIC SPACE there is no reasonable expectation of privacy and anybody can video you.
What they do with your image is a different matter all together and that's why the courts are there!
In other words you're not breaking any law videoing someone in a public space; Police can't arrest you .

Restaurant is not a public space. Anybody who comes into a restaurant and starts videoing people is liable to arrest

Dude this thing is common sense, no be everything be politics. Some of you behave anyhow in Nigeria and soon learn to act right the moment you get to the shores of saner climes.

No one is stopping you from filming in public spaces, but seek consent before you publish people's faces.

A lot of you spend time on these social media platforms but obviously learn nothing aside watching bumbum and throwing tribal slurs online.

Next time, pay attention to content creators in saner climes, they will seek your permission to post your face, if you don't have that permission you must censor their face or lawyer up. QED

Then you don’t understand what privacy is(even in public). Your response only goes to show you don’t. I repeat, everybody (citizens) has a right to their PRIVACY or PERSONAL SPACE even in public. You can’t intrude on a man/woman’s body like touching their busts, eggplant etc because they are in public. The same way you can’t put a camera on my face while I am eating in a restaurant because I am in public. That is an infringement on my right. I never asked to be videoed or snapped, so it is better you take it down or I scatter that your camera

Content creators in "saner climes" actually don't seek any permission. They even use fake AI images of people without their permission. BUT they also get sued if they're popular or have money and they usually settle out of court

Politicians organised an event and people went there to participate, so they can't claim not to consent to it by participating.

See below. Any time you're in a place where a private owner can ask you to leave, common sense ought tell you he can also tell you not to record - which no private person can tell you in a truly public place

I noticed the back and forth you've been having up there and chose to not engage you because I don't deal with people with subjective reasoning.

Btw, the reason I wanted to quote you in the first place is to tell you to channel this energy into fixing your keyboard or whatever the F is making you mistype in all your posts. Maybe drink some water and calm the F down lol...no go get BP o. grin

Quite the opposite. This is exactly the type of situation when you should obtain someone's explicit permision before using their image in advertising or campaign or such

😅 As long as you understand what I'm saying.
This is important because people dont know that anybody can video you in a public space

Common sense should tell you, there's always room for exceptions. You're willfully ignorant, not ready to learn and I'm not ready to waste my time.

Attached is a review from the same AI you keep mentioning, pay attention to the last part. If you like don't listen.

Continue your argument with the ones that have the time abeg.

Nope...anybody can't just video you just because you are in a public space in the way you communicate it and within the conversation relating to content creators!

There's a thing line you don't cross!

Read up on the NDP Act which strikes the balance between Freedom of Expression on one hand and the right to privacy on the other hand!

If I host an event and you come there to participate, you can't claim you do not consent to your appearance of any recordings of the event.
If I see you on the road and start recording you specifically when you are not committing any action injurious to your neighbour or the general public, you have a right to say no.

Quite the opposite. Why do you think premises post that you're being recorded? Just comming to your event doesn't mean they consent to you using there image.
On the other hand, if you see someone on the road and start recording them, they can ask you to stop BUT you don't have to - and there is nothing they can do about it except physically attack you (like those people attacked the lady) - which can land them in jail!

No I'm not siding with you lol, do you have comprehension problems? Genuinely concerned right now.

You been claiming there is no privacy in public spaces at all. And people have been trying to lecture you that there are exceptions; country, circumstance, consent...

Go back and re-read what they posted. You are confusing videoing someone with what you do with the video afterwords - which is why the courts are there.
She was criticizing the govt. Police is an organ of govt. If she were breaking the law Police would have arrested her there and then - that's their job!
