He killed all 71 of Hussein's family and companions.

This was where conventional Shia Islam was born. those who defied the brutality of Mu'awiyya and chose death over servitude. This is the very foundation on which Shia Islam is built. Do not oppress, and do not be oppressed. So when Israel was oppressing Palestinians, they took it upon themselves to be their protectors. When Blacks were oppressed in South Africa during apartheid, Iran was the first to offer help. When they arrested hundreds of American soldiers during the revolution, Khomenei released only women and Black soldiers (he told them they suffered enough).

So if the US and Israel think they can threaten, kill, or bribe Shiites into submission, they are in for a big disappointment. These are people whose faith is built on sacrifice and blood.
Iran's only crime today is that they refused to turn a blind eye to the atrocities of Israel in Palestine, like the Saudis and the Qataris. If they had done so, they would be living large by now.

Thank you for the information and enlightenment, it has never been fully detailed like this the cause of their disaggreement, some say it is due to mode of worship. But truth be told the October 7th attack on israel by Hamas and its cohort there were no outcrys,,it was when Israel retaliate that there were critism. God will save from the religious brohaha.

Anyone who is a traitor to his/her country in this kind of scenario, especially when dealing with the US such person can't go far oo . No person can build a life through these schemes except you want to be living your life under apprehension. As for Nigerians, you cant compare with the Iranians, Iranians are more patriotic than Nigerians and we dont have the same mindset. For Iranian current economy, you're telling me that $10m is chicken change, plus relocation and other things.

I really don't know how true it is that they are sponsors of terrorists groups like Boko Haram and ISIS, because these are sunni groups spreading sunni ideologies, I don't see what a shiite would gain by sponsoring them.

But Hezbollah on the other hand are Shiites, so it is reasonable to believe Iran is sponsoring them. As for Hamas, even though they are sunni Muslims, Iran may be obliged to support them before October 7, because of the oppression the Palestinians.

The truth is that we all consider Hamas a terrorist group (there is simply no defense for October 7), but then before October 7, let us tell ourselves the truth, Israel was oppressing, brutalizing and abusing the Palestinians (that's another story in its self). Israel believe that the land between the river Nile to the Euphrates is theirs by birth right, that is simply wrong.

South Africa should always be the litmus test for our engagement with other races. Always.. Having said that, Iran (like most of the middle East) has had a long and deeply complex relationship with black Africa. Slavery in Iran (or Persia as it was known then) was widespread, and the master - slave mindset towards Africans still exists in Iran today.

Iran and Saudi Arabia know enough not to confront each other directly. Instead, they act out their rivalry through dumb, stupid proxies in Nigeria - proxies both in and out of government - as well as among ordinary people in Northern Nigeria. When will we ever learn?

If you mean that you left Islam and stopped practising it nearly three years ago, then you truly deserve to be congratulated. The truth is, once you begin to uncover certain things about Islam, it becomes almost impossible to remain in it with a clear conscience. I practised it for well over forty years of my life,and that's the truth. Today,I thank Jesus for choosing me!

That is precisely why I often struggle to understand anyone who still proudly identifies as a Muslim after claiming to know those same things. At some point, honesty with oneself has to matter.
