Thought there is an embargo on new tertiary institution, also, why are we still establishing new polytechnics since it's not serving purpose, can't they learn from Lagos state that upgraded all her associate degree awarding institution to a university, or what's the logic in using same or more years for associate degree compare to a full degree.

The problem is not the certs but the structure and lack of sense of purpose, vision, mission and objevtive. If not so
* Universities would have lived up to turning out true and life impactful researches
* Polythecnics will focus on their primary purpose of technical knowledge transfer and build the right structure rather than setting up themselves to compete with a university otherwise OND to HND should not be more than 3 years of study, neither will a polythecnic would want to award B.tech yet as a polythecnic under a rector. Upgrading Poly to Uni has already defeated the purpose of poly
* NYSC is not a ground for academic equivalency but service to the nation and anyone who has attained the required age for service should be allowed to serve right from WAEC.
