You can leave and denounce the country if you wish.
I already did, along with my entire family. I'm never going to live permanently in Nigeria or even Black Africa ever again UNLESS there's major reforms that further entrench the four factors that are PROVEN to generate high HDI and socio-political stability - free markets, democracy, property rights and demographic homogeneity.

Revealpanda:
India is worse than a 3rd world country.

Nigerians are 100 times better than Indians
grin shocked grin

India is the subject of this thread. I've spent major time in India and travelled all over the country, and tried to experience it as an ordinary person. India is a much more developed and generally better country than Nigeria. Just FOOD cost and availability make it superior, then there's other parameters.

Everything I've written is factual. I welcome any info to the contrary, I'm always open to new and credible knowledge.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Yes, Nigerians sold their people into American & Arab slavery and now those descendants of slaves are richer and more developed than Nigeria. I'm content with that kind of slavery.

I'm ancestrally Nigerian and in fact legally can claim Nigerian citizenship. Dual citizenship is legal in both the USA and Nigeria. I'm here to get informed, to learn, to update my views. I also frequent Indian and South African message boards.

Enjoy your wonderful Nigeria.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Indians are escaping their own country more than the rate Nigerians are immigrating.... Even the population of indians outside India may be higher than Nigeria's total population

Indeed, and when they arrive in the USA for instance, they're likely the highest earning immigrant nationality, definitely richer and wealthier than Nigerians. The CEO of Google is Indian, the CEO of Pepsi a few years back was an Indian immigrant. The CEO of Microsoft and IBM I think are both Indian too.

There's not ONE SINGLE Nigerian CEO of a Fortune 500 company in the USA despite our accolades as the most educated immigrant nationality. Proves that DEGREES don't mean ABILITY. Even in the oil & gas industry Nigerians can't point to one ground breaking industry achievement or invention or IP, na so so degree and PhD.

Indian-Americans own 90% of all hotels in the USA rated 4 star and below.

Right there in Nigeria, Asians....most likely Indians....are the highest earning CEO's of quoted Nigerian companies. One of Dangote's CEOs, either cement or the refinery, is Asian, likely Indian.

Much of the productivity of Kenya and East Africa in general is due to their citizens of Indian descent.

The ONLY time Ajaokuta & Aladja Steel EVER produced anything, it was when Indians were running it, I was there first hand to see it.

Pride without substance is sooooo Nigerian.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Bros,

That claim isn't entirely true to begin with. Indians, not Nigerians, hold that position. I don't know why some of our people peddle it, whereas Indians and Chinese are in the same US.

Rwanda, Uganda, Zimbabwe and many other African countries now have clean and well planned cities.. Lagos too would have been in that league but for influx of illegal migrants and economic refugees who have no business being in the State.
The slow thinking leaders in Yorubaland are busy playing 'oju aiye' politics and politics of correctness till the entire South West region will turn to slum and Nigeria's waste site.

Years from now, tourists like the poster will be making videos about eyesore in Lagos while the losers calling themselves leaders, who failed to act will be rotting away in their graves. Failures.
Did I hear you say illegal immigrants? How can citizens be called immigrants in their own country? Lagos is not even a country yet and you guys are already sounding xenophobic. The same Lagos that the federal government built with the collective wealth of Nigeria. Later on you will complain about South Africa for being xenophobic or complain about western countries for denying you access to enter their countries.

Many African countries have better living standards and better infrastructure than India.

Many parts of Nigeria are better than India.

I've no idea what makes them feel big when they see black folks.

India is now the MOST populated country on Earth starting officially from the year 2023, so, it's NOT surprising that you will find places in New Delhi or other cities of India that look like inner-city neighborhoods with overstretched infrastructure but they ALSO CLEARLY have well-planned areas and residential estates.

India! Mschew. Look just do your research and stop embarrassing yourself online. Most of you know nothing because you don't read.
QuinQ:
Actually what strikes me is that these are very friendly and non-racist people. See how happy and relaxed the guy is? He wouldn't be like that in US/UK. Cleanliness and infrastructure are NOT everything. I wouldn't mind living here. And he doesn't seem worried about crime at all. Lagos, you'd be worried about crime as a foreigner

I'm looking at something koro koro with my own two eyes and you're talking of reading. Do you see any of these people even seem to notice that this guy is black? Do u detect any sense of superiority whatsoever. But it may be so only in that area - India being a very vast country

I apologise for my second sentence. I didnt know your statement was only based on the clip. However, Indians are very, very racist AND that country is very unsafe. You may wish to read up about that country.

Sometimes what you read abd reality of a place are quite different. I know Indians ABROAD can be quite racist. But I've seen this guy in his native country of Kenya, and he's tense (see his YouTube channel) - not at all as relaxed and happy as he appears in this video

I agree with your first line. Even Indians in Nigeria are terrible racists.
