ADC Release 2026 Nationwide Congress, National Convention Timetable by Bobloco(op): 10:27pm On Mar 14
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has announced the official schedule of activities for the conduct of its 2026 nationwide congresses and national convention.

In a statement released by the party, the ADC said the exercise forms part of its constitutional responsibility to renew leadership structures across all levels of the organisation.

According to the party, the process will begin at the grassroots level and progress through the various tiers of the party structure, starting from polling units and wards, through local government and state levels, before culminating in the National Convention.

The party explained that the congresses are aimed at strengthening its internal democratic processes and repositioning the party ahead of future political activities.

The timetable approved by the party leadership is as follows:

Polling Unit and Ward Congresses: Tuesday, 7 April 2026

Local Government Area Congresses: Thursday, 9 April 2026

State Congresses: Saturday, 11 April 2026

National Convention: Tuesday, 14 April 2026

The ADC urged members across the country to participate actively in the process to ensure a smooth and transparent exercise.

Obidients if una like register under ADC while still being members of EluuPee.

Ignorance is not an excuse or a defense.

You go understand why the new law passed by the NASS specifically criminalizes being a registered card carrying member of more than one political party.

If Utomi is not in NDC waiting to step down for him like he did in 2023 with the communist LP labourers camp, then who do you expect to step down for him in NDC?

It’s quite remarkable that Utomi was the first presidential candidate of ADC several years ago.

The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, on Wednesday stated that the “President-elect” Bola Tinubu asked popular economist, Prof Pat Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.

Akinwale made this revelation while he appeared as a guest on a radio programme on 101.7 YES FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, while alleging that Obi received campaign funds from Utomi, whom he described as Tinubu's "son."

The LP aspirant, who spoke in Yoruba language, said "In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Obi who had purchased the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suddenly announced his exit from the party.

"Initially, Pat Utomi had secured the LP's presidential ticket, but when Peter Obi said he resigned from the PDP and joined the LP. Bola Tinubu, a master political strategist, quickly told Utomi, that everyone knows to be his son to step down for Obi.

"The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

"What Peter Obi didn't know is much more that what he knows, he started collecting campaign funds from Utomi, while Tinubu was giving the money to Utomi.

"This went on until Obi's presidential campaign got to a stage it went beyond target. Obi was used without him knowing," Akinwale said after announcing his departure from the party.

Obi defected to the LP after resigning his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also withdrawing from the presidential race under the party.

The former governor consequently joined the race for the party’s presidential ticket, while Professor Pat Utomi, in June 2022 stepped down for him to emerge as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, unopposed in Asaba, Delta State.

The new electoral act 2026 really dealt technical blow to the opposition...

It's easy for APC because, concluding on consensus candidates will be easier in most of their elective positions...

It will be a bit smooth in old parties like the PDP too (provided they resolved their issues)

For a new party like ADC...na war e go be..they won't even have ample time to dialogue.

Time is just running very fast.

Tinubu has no equal in political sagacity and master stroke in Nigeria.
He is so confident of a landslide victory such that he is already planing beyond 2027.

Pls OP instead of Agbadorians to commit suicide for a mere Party Congress/Convention Timetable, remove the 'D' and replace it with 'P' so that their sorrows will pause briefly.

They thought their N15k monthly handout will shape the 2027 polls.
But come to think of it, how a flock of No-Do-Wells determine the future of a vaste learned community?

Not only him. The whole ADC arrangement may crumble . An interesting April is before us . El Rufai is still in custody and has lost out already . The ONLY permutation that will keep that party is Atiku/Obi ticket .
For me , this timing will give all of them ample time to jump ship if their desires are not met .

thisweekng:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

Why do you think he is unable to demonstrate his sagacity and master stroke in the provision of government services and utilities to everyone?

Do you think that is because intelligent people like blakKKK are not interested in such basic things, which includes peace, law and order that is applicable to all?

Are you not interested in governance because you would be deprived of your freedom to blame white racists for the failures of black societies huh
