A crazy concept....A crazy storyline and even crazier execution by Noomi Rapace...her rent was due, or should i say their rent was due 😩😩.

Omoo...The Jessie Buckley's performance was a tad above hers tbh, it was just too exquisite and i think it's the clear favourite for it, but both excellent in their own rights.

Stellan Skaarsgård mannn, all he knows how to do is, birth a buttload of kids and act his heart out!!...gave me timless performances last year with Andor and this and should win his cate with ease.



I think this her first Oscar nomination tho, This director is like her favourite, and this is their third film together.

Bugonia up next. Bugonia is typical Yorgos Lanthimos weird archy-type flick and he seems to be getting it right with Emma Stone, This was much better than their last flick together.

On the subject of the Oscars tonight....Bro...what the actual fkkk?? 😩...Are we really about to let "Sinners" (2025) become the most awarded film in one night at the Oscars?!...Like this movie was bare bottom, just about good enough for casual watch, but the unprecedented hype is what I don't get. They ran a wicked agenda on boy Timothee Chalamet for the past 2 weeks or so, and it seems to have taken hold 😭... Someone was telling me Michael B Jordan deserves best actor, because he played 2 characters?!...like wtf? are we being serious here??! 😩

One Battle After Another...... 7/10

After struggling to complete this when I watched the first 45mins since October and never went back until now.... Went back to it cos y'all know it's Oscars season. My misgivings about it never got addressed and it still seems like the woke movie specially crafted to pander to liberals and challenge the current political climate.

Not a bad film in any way, just a tad too over hyped. Not much substance to the film asides great acting. And the disjointedness in storytelling made it a hard watch. Seems it was more focused on the message than the actual story or characters. More of a caricature of the present American political structure and influential figures— a satire.

One good thing about this movie is the superb acting performance Sean Penn delivered in this. And well deserved of a nomination. Or a possible win. I also find the Teyana Taylor acting a tad too performative and nothing concrete, so I'm left wondering what she did that she's getting so much praise.
I just feel this movie is getting acclaim for pandering.
