United States President Donald Trump has declared that Washington is not ready to negotiate a peace agreement to end the ongoing conflict with Iran, even as tensions intensify across the Middle East.

Speaking during an interview with NBC News, Trump said Tehran may be willing to negotiate, but the United States would continue military pressure until better terms are offered.

The war between the United States, Israel and Iran has entered its third week, with air strikes, missile attacks and threats from both sides raising fears of a broader regional crisis.

Trump warned that American forces could launch further strikes on strategic Iranian targets, including the vital oil hub at Kharg Island, if necessary.
