easzypeaszy:27 years...wow. If you crossed any international border that length of time is enough to grant you citizenship with all the benefits. Pity it cannot do same in Nigeria where a person can live all his life and still be at risk of destitution at a moments notice. I just wonder if there are NIGERIANS indeed in this country. Nothing resembling nationhood exists within our shores. Everyone seems to have two, three or four other allegiances, other things we swear to serve and protect before the country of our birth. |

To “use official channels…”; as if they would act if not that it went viral on social media. Imposing archaic practices on others! |

Paulo3ree:The last time I checked, Nigeria is a secular country with freedom of religion. Kaduna particularly is a state with very large mix of Christians and Muslims. I have lived in Kaduna, and the dresses shown in the video are about the typical style of dressing over there (always decent). So which is the Rome and Romans in this case that need to be emulated? |

CyynthiaKiss:Fear Islam. The presence of Islam is the absence of peace. The absence of Islam is the presence of civilization and tolerance and development. Only a fool will buy weapons from western country and think they can go to war against a western country. Very dilusional ideology |

My parents started their lives in Kaduna almost 60 years ago. Yet, they left shortly after because he said that they don't have a future there. Natbrowny: |

Nigeria is operating two constitution system; the 1999 constitution and the Sharia law. If the Islamisation of Nigerian is successful, the Sharia law will fully replace the 1999 constitution. |

They should just divide this country. You can't force Islam on people. Other people have their religion too |

I don't see anything wrong in their dressing. Extremists are just trying to impose their own values on everyone. Criminalising Sharia may be extreme because it's already an instutionalised culture among a large population in the country. Moderation as was done before is key. Religion is a thing of the mind. You can't stop people from holding firmly to their faith but they shouldn't force others to toe their path. As of today, the regular Courts will not allow Sharia to be enforced on non Muslims. Sharia Law can apply to Muslims strictly. The challenge that we have is that overzealous enforcers will always overreach their boundaries. Some Muslims in the SW apply Sharia laws in their personal affairs without affecting others negatively. We also have our own culture with functional Customary Courts. It's a different ballgame in the North. I know that's why people are worried. |

Many of these incidents are blown out of proportion for clicks and likes. The school management also is weak to the extent that such shenanigans can make it to the headlines without them being proactive This is what happens when you put a square in a round hole To curb this nonsense, if they had sense, they were immediately supposed to make a rebuttal video, showing the lady allowed access and clearing the air immediately. New Media is instantaneous, counteracting it should also be immediate. But no, they waste time and allow themselves to be reactive. And to the !d!0ts that rush to condemn religion, there's dress code in tertiary institutions in your enclaves too, so spare us the hypocrisy. The code did not ask her to wear hijab, it didn't ask her to wear "Islamic garb", but 21st century gen Z empty brains, all they want to hear is religious tainted rhetoric so they pick up their crap phones and rush to spew hate CyynthiaKiss: |
