Does he really need their support? In these things, I think, Trumps calls for broader engagement to give a sense of legitimacy to some of his actions... The more the countries involved, the more acceptable the defensive move appears...

I believe the UNITED STATES can and might just defend and secure the Strait of Hormuz. It has been Iran's bargaining chip for too long.

But America doesn't need anybody on its side to win the war

Trump is messing himself up the more.

What he is trying to create therein is an undue World War.

He has already distabilized the entire middle east.

Non of his allies will count it as risk-worthy to send $billions worth of war ships to Strait of Hormuz especially with the way Trump has diminished them recently.

I know it's hard for him to pull out now due to American investments in the region and Israel. Coupled with the fact that he doesn't want to touch or blow up the Iranian people.

He must quickly de-escalate and pull out the US, and perhaps conceive to forgo the the American hegemony and properties in that region.

That is the best price to pay for this error.
