Popular Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has warned former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, against campaigning in the South-West ahead of the 2027 presidential election. In a viral viral video online, Mr Adeyemo threatened to frustrate supporters of the two politicians planning to campaign for them in the Yoruba region for the forthcoming election. “No more useless Atiku or Obi in Yorubaland” the activist declared. “If you know that you are crazy, campaign for one Atiku or Obi in Yoruba region.” Mr Adeyemo, who declared total support for President Bola Tinubu in the region even beyond 2027, vowed to ensure Mr Tinubu gets a third term. “Tinubu for second term; beyond 2027. 100 per cent. After eight years of Asiwaju, we’ll pray for extra years. Throughout Lagos and Yorubaland, it’s for Asiwaju. We will all vote for him,” he added. Our South West blodas need to take a chill pill.. Elections are not wars! This behavioural trend that we are witnessing in the South West during elections in recent times are unacceptable. Buhari contested elections in Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan contested for elections in Nigeria. Yaradua contested for elections in Nigeria. Never have we seen this level of crude assault on our democracy simply because Tinubus ethnic henchmen feel an insatiable urge to defend his "mandate".. They are playing with fire.. If anything happens to any of the top presidential candidates, his folks won't keep quiet. These needless ethnic stands being introduced into our national life by the APC needs to stop. Last time thugs in Lagos state were busy assaulting any clean looking individuals that drive neat cars because they're presumed to have come from outside the Southwest. Talk of using dirtiness as your voters card! This is not democracy. No one molests South Westerners in other parts of the country during genwral elections.. This nonsense has to be stopped.. |

Watch how the people supposed to provide the security for Nigeria will keep quiet and pretend as if nothing is happening until another mad man like Simon Ekpa will draw his battle line for Tinubu in the south east and you will see hypocrisy even from the clergy and monarchy. |

Igboho overstepping his mark. All are free to campaign in Yorubaland because that is what democracy must entail and protect fundamentally. Nonetheless, I agree with his message that there is nothing in Yorubaland for Atiku and Obi in 2027. Yorubas are the most progressive, sophisticated and dispassionately objective voters out of the 4 major ethnic groups in Nigeria i.e Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Fulani. We see and understand things Tinubu is doing that will be immeasurably progressive and developmental for Nigeria that the world celebrates him for. Those initiaitve and reforms are capable of driving Nigeria towards developed nation status, say Singapore for example, even if many Nigerians cannot make the connection between temporarily punitive but vitally needed reforms and future accelerated growth and development that has given us the "developed nations" of the world. It will be socio-economic suicide to allow Atiku reverse such as we know he surely will since he is not progressive or sincere. Similarly we cannot risk the coward and weakling Obi, with zero political strength or backing behind him, fail to protect and see out reforms Nigeria needs to become developed. I can't speak for Nigeria but Tinubu will win the entire SW comfortably and with a wide margin over others because we see what he is doing that must be continued for the sake of Nigeria's greatness tomorrow and our generations unborn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=7mo15mAl1nm1L0-f |

kettykin:For Yorubas, nothing Igboho says amounts to more than his personal opinion. We are not an ethnic group that follows pugnacious and combative troublemakers blindly and to our own detriment. Yorubas cannot follow Igboho, nor his instructions, blindly |

WizardOfNG:You should also be an ethnic group that does not overreach by telling others who should lead them, or whom the should listen to and whom they should vote for. Follow your El Yekini and allow others to follow whosoever they chose to.. It should be that simple really |
