The electricity situation in the country has never been this worrisome.

The most shocking aspect is that the Minister of Darkness, sorry, Power is carrying on as though nothing is at stake.

The worst Minister of Power ever!

All i am going to say is cost reflective tarrifs

Ivory coast brought in cost reflective tarrifs in 1993, and it has worked.

Ghana too has the same cost reflective tarrifs and it is working.

And both countries are as poor as we are, plus the chap in charge of the country at the time who deregulated Ivory Coast's electricity sector was corrupt and was a tribalist.

Deregulate the power sector so that enough of a profit would be made to attract sane investment into our power sector

But Tinubu and apc no go hear. They take popular decisions that get them elected, not sane decions for the betterment of Nigeria
Would you work with others to bring PDP deregulation and privatisation policies, so we can resume the prosperity trajectory of those policies huh

How Indorama sustains manufacturers, boosts Nigeria’s FX earnings

Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) has emerged as a major value creator in the Nigerian economy. It is responsible for the survival, growth and sustenance of many manufacturing companies in Nigeria today. A large number of plastic and allied firms depend on the Eleme-based company for petrochemical resins (or polymer resins) which serve as their raw materials.

The petrochemical company is just one of the several subsidiaries of Indorama-Nigeria Group, which also comprises Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL), Indorama PET Nigeria Limited, and Indorama Port Operations.

Since Indorama Corporation of Indonesia became core investor in the old Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (EPCL) in 2006 through privatisation programme of the Federal Government, the group has become a game changer in the Nigerian economy.

The petrochemical company has solved the major challenge facing a number of manufacturers— poor access to raw materials. Rather than scramble for foreign exchange to import inputs, the company ensures that manufacturers have access to their critical raw materials, enabling them to save costs and improve margins.

The major resins used by plastic and allied companies are polyethylene and polypropylene. Indorama produces about 45 grades of these products for various industries. About 600 of such companies in Nigeria depend on IEPL for their survival. They are estimated to have over 90,000 workers.

All of them (politicians) use abroad for medical headaches!

If their trips abroad can be thwarted,

Local hospitals may be given heed!

If you don't know what to say, you can just blow whistle. Is it the UCH management that's responsible for staff payment and welfare or the federal government led by Gbola Tinumbu?

If a whole UCH - premier health facility in Nigeria is in this comatose state especially in respect to power issue.

Then you can imagine how the common man must be suffering since most government officials, their families and cronies rarely goes there to seek healthcare.
They disconnected them over debt. E dey for the news.

Is Tinubu the management of UCHhuh
Tinubu creates promises, the promises turn to policies, those policies affect the welfare of the nation whether positively or negatively, the impact has been negatively soo far, poor power supply is affecting UCH which now wants to protest.

So yes Tinubu is part of the blame.

Dear boy, makinde as no business with UCH. Maybe with Adeoyo specialist and others. UCH belongs solely to the federal govt.
Don't they all take DGN projects and get repaid for it?

They want visibility. So they take on only visible projects. Period.

Been hearing rumours no matter how intelligent anyone is once you start supporting this current govt, they always loose all sense of intellect. You perfectly confirmed the rumour.

So Seyi makinde is supposed to light up UCH and get paid for it? Damnnnnnn

Thats a bit far reaching
Everybody cannot hide under the President for incompetence
If its so, then Tinubu should just appoint his family members to head all institutions

Tinubu appointed those officials. Tinubu already appointed his close allies to do certain important jobs. Look at his ambassadors for example who started praising him and got the job. Look at Daniel Bwala who was against him but now supporting Tinubu. Seyi Tinubu is also running things behind the scene. His wife is doing the same thing so yes his family is involved too.

Nope, the minister for power intervened already and the bill has been settled, while the light has been restored, however they were placed on Band A, so the mgt is rationing light, which is making the staff complain.
The issue is with mgt, not the the power company
