A Nigerian woman goes viral after unboxing the food palliative boxes she received — reportedly linked to President Bola Tinubu and APC supporters. In the clip, she boldly declares:
“I have collected Tinubu’s boxes of gifts. Let me show you what’s inside. I will eat it, but I will still not vote for him. It’s my money. I am paying taxes. He cannot use this to take away the future of my children.”
Watch as she opens the branded cartons to reveal everyday staples: bags of rice, vegetable oil, noodles (Golden Penny brand spotted), and other basic items distributed as "Renewed Hope" relief amid Nigeria's ongoing economic hardship.
This moment perfectly captures the current mood — many Nigerians are accepting short-term handouts (seen as their own tax money returned) while refusing to let it sway their vote in the upcoming elections. Is this smart resistance or just survival? Comments are divided: some call it "chop but no sell your future," others slam it as disguised vote-buying.

What do you think — would you collect it and still vote your conscience? Drop your take below
Obviously not a Yoruba woman.

Even Tinubu himself know that many people will not vote him in southeast.

But the fact is that you guys are not enough to make him loose the election..

If peter OBI give me money too and I will collect it but will never vote the fraud laye
This is not about the Southeast not voting for Tinubu; he knows that won't happen, as you rightly pointed out. Tinubu is merely creating perception in preparation to rig the coming election. He desperately needs 25 percent of southeast votes, but this will be severely resisted.

A president who refused to govern is now "dashing" you your commonwealth. In his mind, he is calling Igbo people greedy and he beleives he has the key to unlock that greed. Where else has he given out bag of rice, deep freezers and motorcycles?. He will yet find out why Igbo people are the way they are.

I know people are entitled to their opinion but at least he tried though it should be norms for people out of jobs or need food stamps, not for political patronage, it also helps farmers and food producers get regular market sales and consumers.. Rome is not built in a day and Nigeria people sef are not nice, you put "not for sale" they go still sell am .

You that collected and vote against and the one who collected and vote for are the same. You have no moral justification to condemn others.

The traumatized Nigerian masses constituting 80% of the electorate are the opposition oga. It's Tinubu/APC vs the masses.

I have never been a fan of this administration but I pity those who think Tinibu would not win 2027 election. If he won with all the obstacles he faced during the last election, he would easily win with the power of incumbency. I'm a realist. Come to think of it, does APC have opposition?

Never trust a double tongued. She will still vote for APC to collect money on election day. Politicians are not stupid. They work with agents and security forces to confirm you voted for them before paying you.

I will also collect it but take it to the nearest charity place, add money on top and move on with my life, not once going on social media to make noise about anything.

Also I will note vote President Tinubu.

Everybody knows Tinubu has already won the election even before the year 2027, so if they don't collect his palliative, it's their loss.
